Hello all, I am planning a 10 year anniversary trip for the wife and I for next October and I am thinking of booking the BWV's. As a family, we normally stay at PORS and have never stayed at a deluxe. I would like to splurge a bit since it will be just the two of us for the first time alone at WDW. We don't need a one bdrm, but I can't find any decent pics of the studio rooms. So if anyone has any to share, that would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance

The above video is pretty spot on! We stayed in a studio @ BWV and the only difference between our room and the one in the video: the bench sitting across from the bed was not in our room...in its place were the table and chairs. Our room also had a door that would connect to a 1-bedroom villa (which we blocked with our stroller and empty suitcases).

BW is a nice resort...it's aesthetically pleasing with the most convenient access to EP and DHS! And if travel plans are a go for October (any year), you'll be there for the Food & Wine Festival...uh oh, being at a resort so close, your wallet might 'seem lighter,' but your appetite shouldn't! ;)

It looks like you got some good pictures above! BWV are our number one choice at WDW. We just stayed in a 2 bedroom in May, with my parents & DD, and we stayed in a 1 bedroom for our first anniversary. The rooms were both beautiful, and the location is the best! Can't go wrong there. :)

From our June 2011 trip (we really liked this room):

Least-favorite part of the studios is they don't have double sinks:

Once you stay here you'll never want to go back to moderate. It doesn't feel like a hotel. The location makes it feel like a small community along the lake. Watching the friendship boats going to and from is fantastic while enjoying breakfast for a beverage on the boardwalk. Watching the street performers is a great little treat as well. Walking to and from 2 parks, dining locations at boardwalk and other Epcot resorts makes it the perfect place to stay.

We checked in to a deluxe studio BWV on Sunday so today is our 3rd day. Having stayed in a regular standard room at BWI this past summer, I think the studio feels much smaller than the regular rooms on the Inn side. For a couple with 2 small children the studios are fine. I am traveling with a daughter and 2 grade school age children and it feels more cramped than the room we left at Wilderness Lodge when we checked in here on Sunday. The bathroom is a single sink. The closet you can't really access the back part of it easily, and the high chair and playpen pretty much takes up the floor space there. I am on ground level so I share a patio with the next door neighbor...I don't care much for that.
The positive of the villa side versus the Inn side:

1. Mini kitchenette with full size coffee maker and microwave and small sink and fridge.
2. Free laundry....and that might count as 2 positives.

Negatives:
1. One bed and sleeper couch.... prefer 2 beds since I travel with daughter. If it were Jim and I with grands or no grands the bed with the couch would go in a positive category
2. Single sink bathroom
3. Not very usable closet space
4. Not enough drawers/storage and no hooks
5. Some rooms apparently share patios
6. No daily maid and towel service for free. It is once every 4 days and if you request more often or more towels there is a fee.

I cannot complain about the rate though. Same price as the 30% discount I got on the room only over at WL and this stay is during Thanksgiving...Basically every night on property with tax out the door is $ 265 at both resorts. The cheapest I found using passholder or the other discount for an epcot resort during Thanksgiving week was $ 318/night. So I am happy about the cost savings for the location.

The other thing I can say about BWI/BWV are the staff here just as helpful and nice as can be. I have to remember to do a shout out to Melanie at the concierge desk and Pedro in housekeeping for going the extra step, but all of the CM's encountered at this resort are extremely customer friendly and service oriented.

I am sure you will enjoy your stay here and be very happy with your BWV studio!

We had a 1 bedroom and attached studio to make a 2 bedroom. Honestly we were not that impressed with the layout. Seemed cramped compared to other DVCs. But this location can not be beat and the service is excellent. The front desk fixed two MB problems quickly and were able to link different credit cards to each band. The Boardwalk itself was a blast with the shopping, food and performers. I would definitely go back. Walking to Epcot and boating to DHS? Awesome. We're going across the lake next year. Haven't been there yet.

We love the BW. We stayed at Polly last month and my kids and wife said "We like the Board Walk much better". There is just so much to do there, and walking to the parks is the best. Great atmosphere at night and the street performers are great. We go to Jellyrolls and can walk back to our room without a cab!
