Boardwalk must do's?

I'm thinking about visiting the boardwalk for the 1st time in December maybe after Epcot closes at 9:30. What are the really cool things about it that my husband and I must try??

Can anyone tell me the best way to get back to AOA from the Boardwalk around 11pm??

Taxi. Just ask the bell services team @ any of the resorts to call for one. Usually takes less than 10 mins to arrive and will cost less that $20 (including a tip) to get just about anywhere on property. We do this all of the time, especially after Illuminations, when we do not feel like dealing with the bus lines.

Thanks for this thread, we are thinking of staying at Board Walk Villas the next time we go. It's a toss up between Board Walk and Fort Wilderness. So I love reading all the ideas!
