Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone has ever stayed at the Boardwalk inn? We are staying there in December and wanted to hear any opinions on the resort and how it compares to other moderate resorts also if anyone knows how easy it is to get around to the different parks and downtown disney. Thanks all..

The Boardwalk is one of my favorite hotels. Being someone originally from the Jersey shore it is like a taste of home. It is actually a deluxe resort too, not a moderate. I love the fact that you can walk to Epcot. It's just a three minute walk and you are in the world showcase. The Boardwalk has the most nightlife out of any of the Disney hotels. With the stores and resteraunts and the entertainment at night it becomes the best hang-out hotel.

As I said in another thread this morning, my family and I stayed there last Christmas. We absolutely loved it. It was nice to walk along the boardwalk at after dark when we had finished in the parks for the day. Also, we could see some of the fireworks at Epcot from our room at night.

I stayed there in 1998 as my sigature says! It was FANTASTIC. The rooms are lovely, the theme is wonderful, if you are an Epcot and MGM fan (as I am!) the location is perfect. The quiet pool really is quiet! Be sure to get breakfast delievered to your room one time. The last night we were there we had sweets delievered to our room while we were at PI with a card saying "Hope you had a magical vacation". We hope to go back for our honeymoon.

Have a great time!

I agree. Being able to walk to both Epcot and MGM are huge bonuses of staying there, especially being able to beat the crowd out of Illuminations.

I actually stayed at the villas but still wanted to throw in my 2 cents. I loved every minute I was there. The Boardwalk Bakery has great sweets as well as nice breakfast items. The proximity to the 2 parks really is great. However, I found that walking to the parks (even MGM) was quicker than taking the boat.

Can not agree more. Boardwalk Inn is simply wonderful. VERY easy access to Epcot, good view of it as well depending on where your room is. Great dining options. Two night clubs and a sports bar on the resort property. Beautiful grounds and atmosphere. Not my favorit resort pool, but they can't all be storm-along bay.

Only thing that would make it better would be a monorail!

I can't say enough good things about the Boardwalk. I've stayed at many other WDW resorts without a complaint, but the Boardwalk was just wonderful.
The clubs along the Boardwalk are great, the themeing, cleanliness and quality are unbelievable. The pools were great- heck, even the themed pool was quiet when I went (later in the evening that is!)

I also agree with the above, the short walk to the International Gateway at Epcot is great and generally, I beat the ferry to MGM by walking.

Have a great trip!

The Boardwalk is our favorite place to stay besides the Polynesian. We are part of Disneys Vacation Club there. We like taking the friendship boats to the parks and at night we like to walk back from epcot.
