Blue Horizons

Now that I have admission to Busch parks, I have been visting both Seaworld and Busch Gardens much more frequently. I have been able to take the time to see the shows now, instead of just heading for all the rides. I made a previous post on how amazing Katonga was at Busch Gardens, but have any of you guys seen Blue Horizons at Seaworld? That was such a good show. The CD is one of the best I have bought in awhile. I could swear the singer, Christine La Fond, does Promises from Illuminations. They both sound so similar.

Believe, the new Shamu show, has some good music too. The show itself was a little weak, but good nontheless.

I bought the CD back a few months back... Sea World Entertaignment does fairly well with getting music.. They released the CD for blue horizoins a few months after it came out... and the CD for the night time fireworks/mist show was out during it original run... (I forget the name..)

I agree with you totally on the quality of the show (Horizons) and the music, however I was disappointed that a show held in the "Whale and Dolphin Theatre" should not exclusively Whales and Dolphins. In my opinion there is too much focus on birds and acrobatic humans.
"Believe" across at Shamu Stadium is totally awesome (dude !!)

Interesting you liked Katonga. I think blue horizons is pretty good, not amazing, not horrible... But Katonga? I came out of that theater thinking "wow, that's 45 minutes of my life I'll never get back..."

Well we all like different things, but I thought KaTonga was very good. I mean, it has a solid story, great staging and effects, and it's in a comfortable environment.

I guess part of it may of been that I wasn't really expecting much from Busch entertainment, and it completely went above my expectations. I would much rather see KaTonga again over any in-park Disney entertainment right now.

The Blue Horizons music was incredible. I have played it in my car for 2 weeks, and I'm still not tired of it. The show itself was good, but not great. I'm more into people, as opposed to animals. But even little things like the sound the rigging made when Aurora (the bird spirit) was 'flying' could of been easily fixed. It was so loud that it took me out of the show for a little bit.
