Blue Bayou Menu Question

I've heard wonderful things about the Monte Cristos at the Blue Bayou. I know they're also at the Café Orleans for cheaper, but I'd like to go to the Blue Bayou for the ambiance.

My question is as follows:

On AllEars.net, the menu for the Blue Bayou only has the Monte Cristo as a lunch option and not dinner. Would I be able to order the Monte Cristo for dinner regardless? Or can I only get it at lunch? I'd much rather go to toe Blue Bayou for dinner than lunch.

Thanks

I don't have an answer Luke, but....you're going to add another person to your reservation, right? :D :lookaroun

As for your question, I'll look around for an answer. But if you end up not finding anything, I'd give them a call.

You can only order the Monte Cristo for lunch there. I don't know what your reason is for wanting to eat dinner there, but if it helps, there is NO DIFFERENCE to the ambiance (which is fantastic, BTW).
I would still recommend eating lunch there so you can try the Monte Cristo. It really is great (as a matter of fact I wish I was eating one now).
I hope I helped you and let me know if you have any other questions.

I would also recommend lunch over dinner. I believe you can be seated for lunch as late as 3PM. You can double check that when you call. But, be sure to request a table next to the water. You may have to wait a little longer for it, but it's well worth the wait.

If you'd like, I suppose :lookaroun

Thank you, everyone, for your help!

Add me to the lunch over dinner crowd, however...

If you want to experience the ambience, another option (and something I've enjoyed) is to make a LATE reservation and then enjoy some of their WONDERFUL desserts and coffee before you head out for the night. :)

FWIW - My wife and I were disappointed in the Blue Bayou's interpretation of the Monte Cristo...

Bennigans' blows it out of the water.

But that's our opinion.

We much preferred our Tesoro Chicken dinner the year before.

Go for the dinner.

with that restaurant i like the idea of going in 'at night' for dinner ... being inside 'at night' ... and coming out 'at night'. lol. i did the lunch thing once and was so turned around by the 'night time' atmosphere that when we came out - in broad daylight- the ambience was over and i was mad! lol

i've always been in the habit of 'testing it out' when i get there. i know someone said you can 'only'... but i suggest go for dinner and beg for the sandwich lol... then if they don't have it try the tesoro chicken like the previous post suggested!!!!! or see if you can order it to go...?

I went once with folks that BEGGED at dinner, and actually ended up leaving because they could not get the sandwich so don't count on it.

I also have to suggest- when they have a special GET IT! I've NEVER been disappointed by that. :)

i don't know about the sandwich conundrum but they switch from their lunch to their dinner menu at 3:45. SO as long as you are seated and have ordered before 3:45 you can still order lunch. I asked when I made my reservation for in about a month(so excited!!!)

The lunch menu is a little bit cheaper too. :)
