BLT ...

I bet..I noticed the maintenance fees for BLT are cheaper than the other DVC properties though...I think @ParentsOf4 told me once it was because it is the only property built like a hi rise so the keeping up the grounds of the resort is a lot less. So it has a lobby.....????
It has a lobby, but if you use DME they still drop you off at CR for checkin. If you are transferring from another resort I would think you would check-in at the BLT lobby directly.

I actually would prefer the lower level rooms....weird like that...when we go to Vegas I always have to stay in a really high room with Jim and I just want to keep the curtains closed when I am in the room....I can't even get close to the window I have this strange paranoia the glass will shatter and I will fall...

Here is a link to which rooms are which view:

There are a few studios on the 5th floor that are standard view. They are on the north side farthest from the elevators. You would probably still have a limited view of the castle and space mountain and you would be able to see some fireworks at night too. The ones directly below the MK view rooms have MK views too.

Okay so I called the number for DVC that is on the reservation I got today to see if I could add the low floor prefer 5th floor thing and I couldn't get through the hold time. So then I called the number for CONT that is on my reservation and the lady at the switchboard said I can put a room request in 10 days prior to my arrival which will be March 4th... so I set my alarm on my phone...

And what about if I am driving in myself, because I plan to leave WL packed and loaded that Friday and drive to CONT/BLT and drop the bags with whomever and then valet park and hop on the monorail to 8:30 am ressies at CP. Then we will do MK for a while and and after we have lunch somewhere return and I will get us checked in. SO should I pull up to the front of CONT to leave the bags or BLT ?

If you are in a car you can check in at BLT directly. I'm not sure they have valet parking though. The lot is literally right there so it's probably not needed. If you want valet I think you probably have to go to the main CR entrance. Check with the guy at the gate. Both resorts uset he same entrance.

When I stayed at the POLY the parking is right in front so to speak so I didn't use valet. If BLT is similar I will just self park. Do they have a bell desk then at BLT ?

We took DME on our last trip so we checked in at CR but there is a desk in the lobby of BLT too. Parking is a breeze at BLT.

Here is a pic of the covered entrance to the lobby and bell services at BLT. I was actually taking a pic of the pink sky, but it shows parking and the entrance to BLT fairly nicely. Once you pull up, someone is there waiting for you. It is a quick unload and you can park right there. It is a breeze. You can walk over to Contemporary for the monorail, or walk over to MK following a path that runs beside and sometimes under the monorail.
