BLT Inside or Outside Curve?

Has anyone stayed in a studio on the inside curve of BLT and another on the outside curve of BLT? Does the curve materially affect the amount of living space on the inside curve? Does the outside curve studio appear materially larger? Which did you prefer? Thanks

Unfortunately they are both pretty small. I was very disappointed when I saw the actual size. I just got back yesterday, I had a studio on the inside and a friend had one on the outside. It seemed like they were about the same size.

I can't comment on studio size, but I stayed in a 1-bedroom with an "upgraded Bay Lake View" and my real view was just the entire inside wall of BLT. If I stayed there again - and I would if I got another awesome deal like I did - I would DEFINITELY pick a Park View instead. I had to keep my blinds closed because I had hundreds of rooms staring straight into my room. :(

edit to add: Here's a pic of what you saw directly outside the living room window:

Keep in mind, this view is considered an upgrade and cost more per night.

Another question ... do all of the living rooms in a 1,2,3 bedroom (inside the curve and outside the curve) get a little wider as you get closer to the balcony? All of the floorplans show the living room getting wider. Thanks!

How is that considered a Lake View? Did you ever go down and ask? We are staying here in Oct with a 1 bedroom Lake View, and I would be having a fit if this was our view.

It's probably a lake view because if you stand all the way to the right and strain your neck you might see the pool/the lake. If you can see ANY water from your room - Voila! Lake view!

The picture misses the water portion of the view, but you can see it on the far left.
If taken from another angle right in front of the window, you could get a shot that is pretty much all lake.
And from out on the balcony, the water would be very visible.

If I used my DVC points for a lake view, I'd have no problem with this Villa.

Yes FAR LEFT being the key word. It was my room. Trust me, it was 85% building and maybe 15% lake. If I'm being generous. When you walked in the door, all you saw was building. You had to look left and down to see water. And the couch was on the wrong wall. Sitting on the couch meant you saw the inside of the building ONLY. They should have reserved the room so you could have at least seen the "view" from there.

The bedroom was about 70% building and 30% lake but still, you didn't really want to leave the curtains open because of how "public" it felt seeing room after room after room after room....

For those wondering, I wrote a letter, showing the pictures and they gave me back a percentage of the rate.

Nice on getting some money back.

So is there a list showing room numbers and room types and where they are on the curve. I would like to see if I can do a room request, while I know not gauranteed.

We stayed on the 9th floor on the outside curve in a studio, lake view. Our view was fine. But IMHO the BLT studio is small. :lookaroun For 2 folks, okay. Otherwise, it just doesn't work for us. Great resort though!:)

There has been reports of Disney being "creative" on their room categories. They are supposed to redo their categories this year. I guess all rooms will be either lake or MK depending on direction they are facing. Kind of like the commercial with Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo spoofing the old Vacation movies.... "The bottle water is complementary sir, not complimentary..."

-complementary (as in part of the room or a set)
-complimentary (free)

Great commercial, can't remember what it was for but great commercial...:king:

We were in two rooms on our last stay, both outside curses.

The studio is tiny in general. It was ok for two people, but you have to turn the pull-out back into a couch if you want to walk around the room.

The 1 BR--WOW! It was huge!!! Loved it.

The Studio was BL view to the back. The 1Br was MK/BL view.

We were in an outside curve studio which was great. I don't know about the size but we had 4 adults in the studio and it was fine....better than fine...it was GREAT!!!

It is a well laid out studio so I found it met our needs better than the 'bigger' BW studios.

I'm so sick of people whinging about the studio size...it is clearly a preference rather than a declaration as to its actual size.

This is by FAR my favourite on site DVC except for OKW.

Those were the "Home Away" TV spots that ran promos during the SuperBowl.

I still use the "Complementary" line a lot. Makes perfect sense!
