BLT Babyproofing question

We are taking our one year old twins to celebrate their birthday in May and will be staying in a one bedroom at BLT. Does anyone who has stayed there remember if the cabinets in the kitchen/bath area have hardware on them? I am packing outlet covers and was wondering if I should pack the clamps that hold the cabinets closed. They attach to the knobs/hardware of the double cabinets so they dont work if there is no hardware. My children are into EVERYTHING so the more I can babyproof - the better my life will be!

Also - we have requested highchairs. Does anyone know what type of highchairs they have?

Thanks so much!

I actually wrote this about a year ago. My twins were twenty-months at the time and were the inspiration. You literally can pack everything you'll need in a small ziploc bag. It gave us a lot of peace of mind: http://www.everythingwdisneyworld.com/2010/01/childproofing-on-vacation.html

As far as the cabinets go, we just removed everything that might hurt a small child and put it in the upper cabinets. We once rentend a beach house where someone left a block of knives in the lower cabinets!

I think the highchairs are those wooden ones they have at restaurants, but my memory might be failing me--twins, you know.

Good luck.

Thank you so much for that wonderful information. I hadnt thought about door /lever covers. I really appreciate your reponse and info.

We are excited but anxious about this trip. We are taking grandpa along - so at least the adults will outnumber the one year olds!

Now at least they will be safe in the room!

No problem, I'm happy to help! When I wrote that I was worried that people would think I was the most neurotic mom ever, but I've gotten a lot of good input so I guess we're not the only ones.

Good luck and have a wonderful trip.
