Blizzard beach/Typhoon Lagoon

I have to say that TL is the better of the two parks. Don't get me wrong, I like BB, but TL is much better. So you want to know why.

1. Theme, Theme , Theme. A tropical storm smacked into an island that made TL or BB where a freak snow storm hit florida. I like TL's theme better than BB.

2. Better wave pool better slides at TL.

3. I like snorkeling with fish at TL

4. Also when driving up to TL, it seems more inclosed with woods. You can see BB from the road.

Blizzard Beach IMO has the better slides and lazy river.
Typhoon Lagoon has a better atmosphere and wave pool.

Which one is best.... well we goto both everytime we visit. I think I prefer BB, but my Mum prefers TL.

They both beat Wet 'n' Wild hands down.

Slides BB for when I'm full of energy. Waves and more relaxation TL, for when I'm tired. Both are fantastic.

(But the new construction at TL may make me favour TL after i have been on it, but we'll see.)

Well.. on the travel channels top 10 water parks.. wet'n'wild made the list and neither of Disney's did. I'm not saying I agree, I'm just stating what was on the show ;)

oh i forgot all about wet and wild, ive never been there...is it terrible?

It has good slides, just absolutely no shade. So in the hot Florida heat, we were hopping from ride to ride like walking over hot pokers while the concrete superheated.

We also go the worst sunburn we've ever had whilst there.

Hmmm. I always seem to be there in off season, so coincidentally only TL is open. Unfortunately I've never been to BB, but it looks fun.

Slightly off-topic, does anyone else think they need some sort of fastpass system at the water parks? Maybe a waterproof bracelet with a barcode on it?

And didn't they used to rent tubes so you wouldn't have to wait as long for cerain slides and the lazy river? When I was there a year ago in Nov that option had disappeared (it'd been a while since my prior trip).

Wet and wild is fun, but not disney. Wet and wild to me is alot like a parking lot with slides. I personally need more than that
(atmosphere, quality, etc... .).

I feel that would cause even more delays during the summer.

Heading for the great escape.
I love the slides at BB but by afternoon climbing up that hill becomes a real drag. much prefer the more relaxed atmosphere of TL. Fat bloke floating around in a big rubber ring stopping for the odd hello cheeky, pure magic. :animwink:
