Blizzard Beach Question...

I've heard from fellow riders that Summit Plummet hurt the shoulder blades. I think it is from going so fast and where the pieces of the ride connect. I know someone who rode it and they were really red there after riding.

At Blizzard Beach there are many secluded shady spots that your family can retreat too. The nice thing about the patios is that they are right in the middle of everything. However, if you keep walking down the paths towards the back of the park - there are shady areas that had no one (or any of their stuff) on the lounge chairs. When we went in June with my 7 year old. We spent seriously about 45 minutes in the lounge chairs. We fully intended to do more resting - however, it just didn't pan out that way. And I sunburn very easily and reapplied twice. There is surprisingly a lot of shade at Blizzard Beach, especially in the lazy river.

All good info - thanks!!!

Summit Plummet didn't hurt when I did it. It was actually a lot of fun.
Slush Gusher is next to it, and while it's not as tall it's actually much more frightening to ride, since your body temporarily breaks contact with the surface of the slide as you go down.

Now, Humonga Cowabunga at Typhoon Lagoon was very painful to me. I rode it twice in quick succession and developed a nice little bruise on my left thigh.
It's probably just not as developed a slide design as the newer ones of Blizzard Beach.

Yeah, to me, Slush N Gusher was much more terrifying because of the air time you get. I wasn't prepared for that. Summit plummet was just scary because of the height, but it was a fast, painless experience for me.

I expeienced a black slapping sensation when I went on it a few years back and this is why I generally only do it once, i get it when I hit the water at the bottom.

When I go, the water going by my feet always hits me in the face around the nose. It's kinda like water boarding while going downhill at 60 mph.

This described my experience with Summit Plummet. Basically the experience of falling and drowning at the same time :hungover:

Wear a one-piece bathing suit if you're going on Summit Plummet. Tops tend to come off on that ride. Also, it doesn't hurt, it just feels like someone's rubbing a dull comb down your back. It feels weird, but it's hard to notice at 60 mph going at an 85 degree angle straight towards the ground....
