Is it bizarre that Blizzard Beach could be celebrating their 30th anniversary for a month and then potentially shutdown for the rest of the season? (You know because Disney can only run a single waterpark at a time during the summer...because it's cheaper?)

Any chance this what the Baked Alaska on the Lottawotta Lodge menu is for? It was added in November 2024 but you're not actually able to order it. Maybe it'll be an option during April?

If everything is so great at the world's largest themed resort, why can't Disney operate both of their award-winning waterparks during the peak waterpark season?

No one is (or should be) saying everything is great but water parks aren't a great indicator of anything other than how few people care about water parks. I know some really love them, but they just don't get the numbers to justify both parks being open.

Anyway, there are a whole host of other things we can point to as issues, I don't think this one is very high up the list.

Those days are long gone. Their water park marketshare plummeted and they essentially just handed the business to Volcano Bay. It's now at the point where you'd struggle to get one of them to capacity let alone 2.

As usual all down to refusal to invest and incompetence.

And I’m pulling my punches some/going easy because it was way more enjoyable in 2002

Next to nothing has been done to compromise those themes bar the frozen retheme of tikes peak which was unnecessary but that’s it.
