Blizzard Beach attraction!

I was thinking...Blizzard Beach needs something "different"

To carry on the theme...I was thinking of a 4d "virtual" snowball fight with Disney characters...you could "team" up with 4d versions of Peter Pan, Genie, etc. and throw "snowballs" at the "villains"

what does everyone think?

How exaclty would this work, I think a little more detial is needed before we could give any comments.....


Although off the bat I would just say that BB is a water park, people go there expecting for water attractions, a VR attraction sort of seems to clash with it as wet guests randomly comming up to a VR attraction would be rather confusing and seemingly misplaced. Perhapse this could be easierly converted into some sort of water playground with "Snow"(water) cannons that would shoot at interactive villians that could shoot "Ice" (water) rays back. You could keep the whole story line of the attraction in tact just change the the mode in which the attraction functions. Also rember the theme of BB is a ski resort, so this should be some how incorperated.

Good point...but...they put rollercoasters in water parks (granted, they are water coasters...but they have the regular coasters that shoot water) I am picturing this being in a large "igloo" and it might even be the lair of the "ICE GATOR" or something. I dunno, some help maybe...I just think the concept is really cool.

Maybe the same set up as Pirates of the Carribeam in Disney Quest where you and three friends go into a circular room where the Ice Gator's igloo has been flooded by 'Ice Sprites' so he has asked you guys and Goofy (just picked him as he is often seen at BB) have to man the water cannons which are actually lazer guns and have to shoot the sprites as they run around the igloo on the screen. The ground could be ankle deep in water with jets coming up every so often and hidden water cannons on the wall that are the sprites that squirt back at you and at the end you get a score like PotC. Goofy could be the host? Any good?

An interactive water coaster

An indoor watercoaster (not a "water" coaster) but a splash coaster (one that you have cannons and can shoot) and as you go around, Disney villains are in their snowsuits shooting "ice cannons" at you (or snowmakers). And, you get points for the more people you shoot as you zoom by.

That would be good except for the fact is it gonna be to hard for the younger kids who want to ride it? I mean if its a coaster, even a small one goes pretty fast to aim at stuff?

They already have coasters that squirt water...

Ok, there is a coaster at Hershey Park in Pennsylvania called the "Roller Soaker" and it doesn't exactly "shoot water" but you can control when to drop "loads" of water...but if there is a tank filled with water on each train, then you would only need to add pressure to get it to shoot.

Wow that is a really sweet ride Hershey has. What you could do would be make the cars skilift cars and then have both a dump and cannon water feature on the cars then on the ground have watercannons modifed to look like Villans holding various artliery(cannons, magic septors, ect) that are linked to a computer that tracks where the cars are and then filitered through a random generator to whether or not it hits the car and how much water it hits it with. At the end you get points for shooting and dumping on Villians like at the end of buzzlightyear but also lose points for getting hit by a villain(if you shoot it first or dump on it it can't shoot you back) For this feature the water cannons and dumpers on the cars would have to be laser guided, but that should be just really an extra cool feature.


This could be a really cool ride to liven up waterparks.

The hershey park ride is so cool. i wish disney had one of those and just because other parks have rides means disney can't. Other parks have carousels.

FINALLY!!! People are getting the concept My idea just needed to be tweaked a little bit! Thanks for the input guys...I really think that this ride would be a hit!!! I love the idea about the storyline...Villains taking over the ski resort! (plus, wouldn't it be comical to see the villains in snow suits??? :lol: )

Does anyone else have any ideas for either Water Park? Typhoon Lagoon is supposed to get a "state of the art" attraction...but what about Blizzard Beach...how about a "speed skating" attraction. Or...a snowmobiling attraction

Yeah, they'd have some "simple animatronics (because they'd be getting wet) and they'd all have targets on them...as you zoom overhead, they'd shoot cannons of water at you and you'd either have the option to "dump" water on them or squirt them using cannons of your own mounted to the front of your car (this is an inverted coaster by the way) It could take place in a huge igloo and the villains could hide behind "snowforts" of their own...
Example:
Captain Hook could have a giant snow pirate ship
Ursula could be the final "villain" she could be armed with 8 cannons...to get you completely drenched!
