Blisters

Ok, I've developed a blister on the inside of my left heel over the last few weeks. There hasn't been a change in shoes or socks which I would think would cause the blister.

Any thoughts or advice? It's not really painful; just in an awkward spot.

Any increase in distance? Different laundry detergent? Did you start running on a different surface? If you haven't gotten them before with the same shoe/sock combo, then that's unusual.

Are your shoes worn out. The reason I say this is that maybe the area we are referring too use to have a snug support in cushion that is now broken down. Since it is broken down, there might be a gap and rubbing it taken place.

No increase in distance; intensity yes. All other the same as well

I guess that could be possible. These shoes are about 5 months old now. They've been my trainers and my race shoe. So, the miles are building. I was about to look for new shoes. So, guess I better hit up the running websites for some deals. :drevil:

Might want to try different socks as well. I began developing blisters a few months back and the guy at my local running store recommended Balega socks. They have been really nice, they cost about $7-$8 per pair but they are worth it.

When it comes to blisters, the first thing I check is the socks. Make sure they're dry, clean, not bunching up, etc...I have had 100% success with the injinji toe socks. Also, check your shoes; make sure they're tied tight enough, but not too tight. Make sure they are the proper sizing. And check the insoles too.

I'm with Ariel on this one as well. When I first started running I wore regular white socks you buy around six pairs per pack at Target, etc. and always had blisters. I made the switch to Balegas about five years ago and will never ever wear anything else, they are absolutely fantastic and well worth the $7-$8 per pair.

I dont think my left shoe was tight enough today. First time EVER I have a blister on my big right toe, and all my little toes.
