Nobody baited you.

You came to a Sea World fan forum to slam Sea World. If anyone was baiting anyone, you were the one with the worm, not us.

Please go support Blackfish on a blackfish forum! They'll be happy, you'll be happy and we'll be happy. Win-win-win. :)

(I'm not suggesting you leave the boards, of course! I would never! But do leave the Sea World fans alone to enjoy their little, small, wee corner of the world.)

Then maybe I could get some picture-taking advice. My timing kind of sucks. Many pics turn out like this...

Or, if you are so distressed about this, you could always leave the Bkackfish thread. I could understand your contempt if I or anyone else was posting all sorts of negative garbage on all the other Sea World threads, but this thread is called Blackfish, so seriously, stop crying about how some, on this specific thread, have some issues with Sea World. I know that you just want to be "right" in this debate so no matter what anyone says, you are, in your own mind, right, but please acknowledge that a debate in a thread called Blackfish, that the mods have elected to keep open, should be open to views other than "Sea World is Perfect".

Damn. I took the bait again.

lol love that Luv. It has took me quite a while to perfect my photo taking skills at the park. I have gone so much that I know the signals and know where to point my camera and I start taking the picture before they break the surface. It has took lots of practice and time but it has got to be better.
I was thinking that. I have to start watching the trainers and snap when I see the first shadow coming near the surface.

If I can see the animal swimming around, it isn't going to leap.

It's when they swim down to the bottom and disappear that they're going to leap. So I have to learn the signals, watch for them to disappear and then snap before they're out of the water.

I tried and got a nose.

But I'm working on it! One day, I'll get one totally in the air. :)

Really dont know why they have kept this thread open so long. It is not a debtate anymore and its just a bunch of name calling. And when the orignal poster can only post pictures and quotes from other sources but doesnt answer what we post that really is no debate if you ask me.

It's not bait. Really. And I'm not crying. Honest.

It's just rather silly to keep asking Sea World fans why they don't have a problem with Sea World.

Answer: because we like it. We will keep on liking it long after you've moved on to your next cause.

There really isn't a debate. We, the Sea World fans in the Sea World fan forum, like Sea World.

You guys don't.

There is no debate there. You're not changing our minds and we aren't changing yours.

Answer (again): because we like it.

It's going to be the same answer every time you ask.

Devil's advocate this is not a Sea World Fan Forum. Its a Forum for Sea World Discussion (The exact wording for the description). Those allowing Fans, and dissenters, or those in the middle.

Also I found out it helps to keep the camera button partial pressed so its constantly try to focus.

I suspect that it is open because it is topical and will remain so for some time. I have no idea if this will be nominated for the Academy Award, but it seems likely. I doubt it will win. Too many strong contenders this year. But a nom will continue to call attention the this, as will the DVD release. I know you don't like it, but it's true.

We don't like it. But it isn't that big a deal.

Why do you continue this?

Do you honestly think that if the film wins an award any of us will say, "Well, now I don't like Shamu" or change our minds?

Why do you keep saying the animals are in bathtubs and the movie is popular and JPatton's "The Shamu show has got to go!" stuff?

You keep telling us these things and asking if we don't agree. Of course we don't.

What is the purpose of all this?

2 words. "Continuous mode" also know as burst shooting. Nearly every digital camera has it. Hold the button down before the action and let it go when it is done. Pictures 1-6 and 8-12 will be crap. 7 will be gold.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I'm going to try that! This is information that comes in handy! I'm the very definition of non-pro. Point and shoot. That's me. So far. :)

I'd tag David to whine about him not telling me this, but then he might start yelling at me about how Shamu shouldn't be in a bathtub. And I really don't want to fight with Dave.

Very good setting to for the none pros.
Well, what I find is that, while it does take the camera longer to process the "multiple shots", it removes the factor of timing. Then, when selecting shots I can go back and find the ones that are the best (which may not be the ones I intended when I pressed the shutter).

Very very true! I never really get to use it. I got use to single shots when helping my friend photograph bugs. I have strange friends but hey what ever pays the bill.
