Birthdays at Disney...?

We were there for my Wife's birthday in 2013. She wore the Celebration button with pride and enjoyed everybody greeting her with a "Happy Birthday" and some would add "Princess" to that. I had flowers and a cake sent to our room and the kids enjoyed it as well.

We had dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table on my daughter's sixth birthday. We didn't order anything special (e.g., cakes) as we figured that spending a small fortune on dinner in a castle was special enough - plus, the meal already included dessert :), but I did note it on the reservation. When we arrived, they had put a little pre-printed placemat at my daughter's place, wishing her a Happy Birthday and "signed" by the Princesses, and at the end of the meal, our server brought out a little cupcake for her with a candle in it, so we could all sing Happy Birthday. These touches were unrequested and unexpected, but very much appreciated!

Like other's, I've received a call from mickey in my hotel room and a signed card and cupcake at the Crystal Palace, but my
favorite memory was this:

Last time I was there celebrating a birthday, there was this cast member as I was leaving Hollywood Studios who, after wishing me happy birthday, said "Have you had you're birthday dance yet? Everybody needs to have a birthday dance!" and proceeded to dance to the entrance music with me for a good minute or so. It wasn't anything that had any monetary value, but it sure put a smile on my face and made me feel extra special!

That is fun. Nice to see them make your day extra special!

My kids and I were walking through World of Disney looking for my husband and a CM called me over and said I had a phone call. I thought it was my husband that somehow called the store intercom to have us located. When I picked up the phone it was Goofy singing "Happy Birthday" to me. The CM wished me a happy birthday and gave the kids a stack of stickers. It was all very sweet.

That's awesome!

We've gone for my kids birthdays, they have received a cupcake, a phone call and the button. Honestly, the button is the best with all the cast members wishing them a happy birthday. They are getting surprised in October with a trip to Disneyland for their birthdays. Not sure if Disneyland does some of the similar things but either way they will have a great time.

Buttons, friendly greetings and cupcakes. My daughter also got to lead the parade around the GF. We didn't expect much and were grateful for the little magical touches.
