Birthday Surprise

I'm going to surprise my hubby, who is a Star Wars fan, for his birthday. I've got ressies for the dessert party, but we really don't need to be filling up on sweets so late at night. Like I said, he's a Star Wars fan, but I'm afraid he'll think the 8"x3"x1" carbon-freeze me is too small and a waste of money.

How would you surprise your hubby or which would you like to be surprised with?

I pick carbon freeze me, of those two choices. We thought about doing the dessert party for my DD's birthday, but then decided that was an awful lot to spend on dessert. That carbon freeze is a little something he can look at and remember what a great trip!

The figurine as a storm trooper that they make look like you seems cooler than the carbon freeze IMO.

Dessert party....meh.

But if it were for me I'd be happy with just being at WDW on my birthday - isn't that gift enough??!!

When I called to ask about the process, the guest picks which one he/she wants, so he'll get to pick. He puts up with all my Disney obsession, so this is something extra special. LOL! Plus, he was just lucky to have been born soon after our school year is over.

yeah I'd go with the carbon freeze or even the storm trooper. We went back and forth over the dessert party, but finally decided against it. I think it's nice to be able to avoid the crowds for Wishes, but just couldn't spend that on dessert!

You're both so right! I should have learned from our last trip - picking a restaurant that I wasn't totally sure about and not having a good meal. I'm not really that comfortable eating sweets so late, watching Wishes and thinking that we can get up for a.m. EMH at EPCOT - not the best idea.

Thank you, all!

Being a SW fan he should be happy that his wife is willing to spend that much money on the carbon freeze. It's not like you can get that at your local WalMart. Plus he'll have something to show off to everybody. "My wife, whom I love very much, got me this cool present!" :)

The dessert party isn't something I enjoyed much. So, if I were a Star Wars fan, I'd rather get that. :)

We both are, so yes, this is the better choice!

I hadn't even thought of that angle. I'll be like the best wife in the office, and everyone will be extra in awe of him. :D

I'd go for the carbon freeze me, you can get desserts anywhere, and watch fireworks anywhere, but a carbon freeze is forever. I am sure if he is a fan then he will love it.

My DH is a chocoholic and loves the Dessert Party. Although, he's a SW fan too. We have been instructed by him, not to give him anymore stuff that needs dusting and/or storage. So, with that, I'd have to say Dessert Party.

I am not sure the carbon freeze is the best idea but I think something Star Wars would be better then the dessert party. My DH who isn't a huge fan of Star Wars, would still prefer that over the fireworks and dessert party. That would be something that I would like. :)

THAT is the source of the angst. We both LOVE chocolate and have too much stuff. LOL!

Yes! In my gut, it doesn't feel like a great idea to do the dessert party.

Thanks, all!
