Any suggestions?
It will be my eighteenth birthday, and we're willing to use 2 dining credits.
We want a nice restaurant, but I dont think I would like anything at California Grill after looking at the menu.

What type of food do you like?

The Yachtsman Steakhouse in the YC is nice for a special occasion. Maybe something in EPCOT? The resorts have some nice places too, how about 'Ohana in the Polynesian or Artist Point in the WL?

There is a restaurant for just about every taste.

Yeah, I'd look at the menus before committing to a location. I enjoy CG, but can see how it may not appeal to you. Artist Point or Jiko, maybe Narcoosees, would be my next suggestions. TIP: stick with a regular dessert. I've had a special order birthday cake on two different occasions. While it was good and pretty, it was just a nice, normal cake and I didn't think it was worth the extra money. FWIW.

A fun meal for an 18th birthday could be at Japan in Epcot. But then again you can go to places probably at your hometown that are like japanese steakhouses.... sooooo.... I'll have to second artist point at being SOOOO tasty and somewhat expensive. lol

Hoop De Doo Musical Revue. If you're willing to use 2 credits, but you're not old enough to drink, might as well get a show out of it. :D

Otherwise, knowing the kinds of food you like to eat might give you some more educated responses.

Thanks for all the responses.:)
I was just curious which places people preferred for a special occasion. I'm pretty sure we'll go to California Grill, we're pretty adventerous eaters and always up for new experiences. One more question :D : How long do you does a meal typically take? Wishes (on the night of my birthday) is at 10pm and I'd really like to catch Wishes at least at the end of my meal.

If you are asking in reference to CG, my experiences with dinners there is that they are usually around 2 hours (more if you include the check in time). If you are hoping for a window seat, make the ressies AT LEAST and hour before the fireworks start. I would highly recommend an 8pm or 8:30pm seating. The wait staff know why you are there and they take their time with the meal. To ensure that you get the coveted window seat, make sure to check in AT LEAST a half hour before your ressie.

I absolutely love CG. My fiance celebrated his birthday there in 2005 and then I got to celebrate my birthday there this past September (not to mention, my fiance proposed there as well :animwink: ). Coincidentally we have had the same waiter every time and he is wonderful. Plus, if you let them know it's your b'day they will give you a complementary chocolate cake. It's pretty good! Just my opinion!! Hope that helps.

I have been to Disney twice for my birthdays, although i was young we went to Tony's in the magic kingdom. it was so cute, they gave me a card and lady and the tramp signed it with their paw print. it was cute and the food was good but hey, i was 10 :animwink:

hope you have a nice birthday--enjoy your trip
