Birthday Advice- Now or when we get there?

OK so my son and I are both having our birthdays at Disney. In case you are wondering- yes we actually share a birthday. That is a miracle in and of itself, then add in the fact that my husbands birthday is exactly one week after ours and you really have an occasion.

So here is my question- should I call Disney now and try to make sure that they know we are full birthday family before we go or should I wait and tell them when I get there? I worry they will forget if I tell them now, even though we are going in two to three days. But if I wait I worry that they will kind of be like yeah well you should have said something earlier... What experiences has everyone had both ways?

I always tell them about a celebration when we make our reservations and then mention it again when I'm confirming them a few days before, just to make sure it's all written down. Many times you will find a special surprise in your room when you get there.

Thanks- I need to confirm everything tomorrow so I will say something then I guess. I thought a few days ago that I would sneak upstairs and call about it but when I picked up the phone I noticed it was dead. It had been sitting in an unplugged charger, thanks to my son! Little !

When are you going? The new theme for 2009 sounds like it would be perfect for you and your son to celebrate your birthday there. I'm having a milestone birthday next year and am specificaly going to Disney for it.

We actually leave tomorrow! We are all very very excited. I did call to confirm and while I was on the phone I made sure that they made a note of a birthday celebration. When they asked who and told them about my son and I they were floored. She definitely sounded like she thought they might make things a little special! I am so excited!
