Birnbaum Travel Guides

Howdy all.

Just wonder if anyone could give me an advise.
From earlier I have the books Birnbaum - Walt Disney World Dining guide 2010, and Birnbaum - Walt Disney World without kids 2010.

I'm considering buying Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Pocket Parks Guide 2013, Birnbaum's Walt Disney World 2013 and Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Dining Guide 2013.

Do you know if it is much different in the 2013 books than the 2010 books? Is it worth buying the 2013 version of the books or not? We are planning to go this year in September to Walt Disney World.
I think I'm fairly OK updated on whats going on in the parks (but not 100 % updated and we have only been once to Walt Disney World).

Any advice in this matter is appreciated.

Thanx!

The Birnbaum books are Disney's books and they are great for getting you all pepped up and happy about your WDW vacation. They do update them to include new rides. But as for planning advice...there is very little and what they have isn't really helpful.

I like them and think they're worth buying just because they're fun to read and so cute!

But if I was looking for good planning help and would only be buying one book, I'd get The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. :)

No law saying you can't buy both, of course!

There's been so much expansion between 2010 and 2013 that yes, there will be differences. I agree with what @luv said; the unofficial guide is great. We're going to Disneyland and bought both. Between the two, everything is covered. Plus there are coupons in the back of the Official one. :)

I used to buy these often, but not anymore with all the info we can get online. They are still fun to flip through when browsing around a bookstore.
