Bird on a Stick?

I was peeking around on Google Earth and looked at Expedition Everest. I noticed something weird on the other side of the mountain, and was wondering if that was where the bird on a stick effect was done? Does anyone have any behind-the-scenes pictures of the bird?

It's a stubborn effect..whether it works or doesn't it's random...if you Google Everest bird on a stick you can see close ups of it..
