Bippity Boppity Question

We did BBB in Dec and Rapunzel was an option. I've heard that's no longer the case, but that the costume may still be available at Castle Couture right across from the castle. i.e. buy the costume and accessories over there and head back to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (castle location) for some "princessification." :D I read on AllEars that Rapunzel is having her ceremony in October to become an official Disney princess, so I can't imagine that they'd stop offering the costume. If for some reason you can't find the costume in the park, the World of Disney Store should have it (i.e. near DTD location). You can also usually find people selling park authentic costumes on ebay and sometimes Disney Store online sells the park authentic costumes.

I'm glad someone is asking about BBB. Have a 5 yr old princess in the family and wondering if I should make reservations for her during our late Sept trip. She would probably love it but I just don't if the budget allows (not sure how much it costs ).

It is pretty pricey but it truly is a great experience. I cannot remember what we ended up paying, pretty sure with makeover and costume it came to close to 200 bucks.

To OP, you could totally pull off Rapunzel, pick one of hair dos that comes with the hairpieces/extensions and pick up the Rapunzel dress in the park.

You can find pricing on here... http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tours-and-experiences/bibbidi-bobbidi-boutique/

Ultimately, it's not too $$$ if you don't do the pkg with the costume. When we did it- DH paid and actually remarked that it was a great deal for the $. :D We bought our costumes separately in the park and then did the Crown Pkg- hair, make up, nails, tiara comb, mickey rhinestone barrette, jeweled face stick on + you go home with a goodie bag with 2 bottles of nail polish, the leftover make up kit (and there was a lot of make up left over), princess stickers, etc.

It can book up, so I'd call now if you want to do it. I believe you have 2 days to back out if you decide you don't want to. Also remember that there are 2 locations...the castle is typically more popular.

*edit* and while we saw a lot of people who bought the pkg with the costumes or bought costumes in the parks like us- we also saw a number of girls who were in costumes from home or pretty non-DIsney princess style dresses from home that were equally pretty...and probably helped them save some $.

I've read a lot of reviews about BBB and the consensus seems to be buy the costume somewhere else.

But, I've always wondered where you can find a quality dress somewhere else? I've seen princess dresses in Target/Wal-Mart for not too much, but they are cheap material and would be scratchy to wear all day. Any suggestions on other places to look, or should you just wait and look around WDW?

The park authentic costumes sold at BBB, which are also sold in the parks and DTD, are worth the $ if it's in the budget. While we have pretty much every princess costume at home (from costume shops and places like Target/Walmart)- the quality of the park authentic costumes is FAR SUPERIOR. We've had ours for 6 months now...they get weekly wear, but still look brand new. You may be able to find a deal on a park authentic costume on ebay.

Can anyone tell me who the current Princess outfits are? We are headed in September. My daughter has Mulan, Jasmine, Aurora, Pocahontas, Rapunzel, Merida, and Ariel outfits from Disney Store (it was a big Christmas for her!). She doesn't have a Cinderella or Belle gown and I am assuming those are pretty much a guarantee but would like to know for sure.

The way I looked at it when DD did BBB was that she'd only have the opportunity once, the next time we went she'd be too old and I wanted to give her that opportunity. Of course this didn't dawn on me until we were at WDW and we only had two days left, before we went there was no way I was going to spend the $$ for it. We got lucky that my MIL payed for BBB and a Rapunzel dress, but I would have splurged for BBB is she didn't.
