Bill Nye's presence in the parks

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.

After bringing a lawsuit to Disney over a difference of money received for his Disney shows.... I dont think we have to worry much about a Bill Nye presence returning to the parks
That's honestly too bad. He had a great voice for things like pre-shows, exhibits, and instructional videos.

I found this hard to believe, so I checked Snopes. Apparently true.

I feel like when he got the new show on Netflix, things just went sour for Bill Nye the Science Guy. Thinking money had something to do with it.

Fun note: Bill Nye The Science Guy is actually a spinoff from Back to the Future.

Back in the late-80s, early-90s, everything popular had a Saturday morning cartoon....and BTTF was no exception.

Anyway, part of the fun was that Christopher Lloyd would pop up in each episode as Doc Brown and teach kids basic science things.
And his lab assistant was none other than Bill Nye. In fact, "The Science Guy" was coined by a sarcastic Doc Brown who got into an argument with him. "Just who are you, Bill Nye the Science Guy?!"

So really, Bill Nye was in the wrong theme park the entire time. He should have been over at Universal.

I learn something everytime I log on to these forums :-)

And as a PhD bearing scientist my vote is that an engineer is a scientist. Science is a method of answering questions, if you use that method you are a scientist. You don't need a graduate degree to be a scientist.

Actually he was introduced on the Seattle based comedy group's show he was a part of called Almost Live that started in 1984. Many of the performers from the show also went on to be part of Bill nye's show on Disney.
