Big Thunder Mountain refurb??

Is there any truth in the rumor that Big Thunder will be down from April-July 2016? I've seen it on some forums dating back to August 2015, but nothing official. Does anybody have the inside scoop?

i have seen it also from several usually reliable sources, yet it is not on disney's website. we also care, going to be there april 8-16, really want to ride it with the kids. hoping if it goes down, it gets delayed just a couple of days!

Yeah, we will be there in mid May and it's our entire family's favorite ride. I know my son will be severely disappointed if it's down. I'm hoping its just a rumor.

We will be there 4/13 to 04/19 and it is one of DS's favorite rides.

It was however on a lot of different sites refurb list, but has since been removed from almost all of them.

Sadly, it does need to be down. Wasn't it just 3 or 4 years ago, it was down for a major refurb?

I'd say like half of the effects worked the last time I rode 4-5 months ago.
