Depends on what I'm looking for at the time. Do I want an intricately themed mine train? Or do I want to experience a LSM fling into a pretzel element?

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is better IMO since it lasts for a surprisingly long amount of time. With Rock n Roller Coaster, you wait 2 hours for 30 seconds of ride time.

The best 'vs' I reckon would be REMY vs MMRR - 2 very similar rides.

Thunder Mountain wins this for sure. There isn't a ride quite like it. You love the turns on it, and yet still take time in the ride to appreciate the theming of it all. The caves you go in are nice.

Now they have fixed half the Neon lights which weren't coming on in RocknRollercoaster, I prefer that. BTM is a good ride, quite long too, but I hate the queue for it.

I love RnRC. I shall admit I would probably sharpen my pitchfork if they would announce a ride like that today. But everything surprisingly comes together, it all works, it's a blast.

But Thunder might very well be the greatest Disney ride around. You never even realise it's a coaster track, the ride looks like it was carved out of the mountain. Compare Everest, which fails in this respect. Thunder is beautiful, oozes atmosphere and character, and is just so much fun. One of my all-time favourite rides.

Big Thunder is a Tony Baxter masterpiece. Rock-n-rollercoaster is surprisingly good for what it is, but desperately needs an update.

Personally… I wish they’d extend the Hollywood theming and make it a limo ride to a classic Hollywood premier.

Both are thrilling and I'd never miss out on either. BTMRR gets my vote just for the extra theming and views you run past as the coaster passes through the canyons and mining town. The queue is much better with so much to see and I discover something different each time I go through. RnRC is thrilling as a dark ride with music blaring but it misses the feel of a Disney based attraction.

I love them both. BTMM definitely has better theming. But RNRC is such a rush! I feel like I get more out of it.
