I wouldn't watch AI even if FOX was literally the only channel on TV.

Neither would I, but I commend Disney for trying to reach out to the demographic that gets bored very quickly at Disney.

And as for American Idol, I'm just waiting to find out who this year's "Sanjaya" is, so that I can start voting for the worst in a feeble attempt to sabotage the show! In an ironic way, I guess even the American Idol haters find a perverse way to enjoy the show. That must be why it has such monster ratings. If you love it or despise it, you're still watching at least parts of it.
