AWESOME Update!!!

I wish someone had a picture of that Centorium sign... :( I am dying to see it.

The Wonders of Life anecdote doesn't make me too happy... I guess its all a big joke to everyone but the guests. :(

Spaceship Earth: They've FINALLY covered up that old AT&T sign at the end of the ride (during the backward decent). For a while, they had a cardboard and duct tape covering over the AT&T logo -- they've now painted the whole thing black.

On the ride, you still see AT&T EVERYWHERE! It's not hard to see, example-on the corner of the "TV" the the American boy and Asian girl are using--just thought I would share ;)

Answering a few questions/comments posed here and there in this thread...

1) Will the automated-submarine-type (JASON?) thing remain in the 'new' Living Seas? Don't know. I do know when I was in the undersea exploration module a day or so before they padlocked it, one of the big diving suits (the ones where you could try to turn knobs and flip switches) was covered up with some kind of tarp thing, but the other was still up and running.

2) Still seeing some AT&T in SSE. Yep, there is still some here and there. The issue was the pretty shoddy 'fix' they had made for the ride at the end of it. It doesn't bother me to see the AT&T logo there even after the sponsorship has gone. As a matter of fact, it makes the video conferencing and other stuff look authentic. It just looked pretty lame to have cardboard and ducttape covering up just the AT&T logo on the sign. That showed they were just trying to get rid of the prominent logo on a sponsorship sign. With the new fix, only those obsessed (like me) would notice the sign. You may remember for a while that after FedEx dropped Space Mountain, the FedEx markings were gone from the post-show area, but the announcement still said that in the future, packages would still be sent by beams of light. Unless you remembered that FedEx had been the sponsor, you wouldn't think any more of that than you would those announcements on the TTA.

3) From another thread -- CoP being open. I was lucky enough to ride it for the first time (so many wasted years!) this go around. Crowds were somewhat sparse -- about 20 people in the theatre. But luckily, everyone there (including the CMs) seemed to truly appreciate the ride, and EVERYONE in the theater was singing the song.
