We just got back from WDW also. (Dec 13-20) It was interesting how the security differed from park to park. MK was by far the most thorough. They even made you take cameras out of cases and checking in each compartmant of hip packs and in our little cooler bag that we keep baby food in. The other parks were much more lax, casually looking over your things as you went in.
We also went to Epcot one a.m and I felt it was a waste of valuable morning time. With it opening at 10:00, most rides not open or everyone standing in line for test track. All the people were cramed into future world since world showcase didn't open until 12:00. After the fact I would skip Epcot in the morning and wait until 3:00 or so to go after visiting another park first. There just wasn't enough to do. The morning is usally when you get most of your "riding" in before the crowds gather.
The most pleasant surprise was the country bear jamboree Christmas special. When we saw the sign for it we thought, "how cute they put christmas hats on the all characters," but it was a whole new show with new anamantromics, songs and everything. It really was cute and enjoyable. (my 9 month old daughter really enjoyed it) We were surprised in all things they tell you about for Christmas at WDW I hadn't heard anything about this until we got there.
Oh and just as I suspected, my daughter also loved "its a small world." So guess if it bores you to tears remember it is great if you are under 2 years old.
The other thing that was different from me was I keep wondering if the other people I saw were other members of WDW magic. There did seem to be a lot of people from England.
One day at MK my daughter saw Pooh, who just picked her up and carried her around, making kissing noises. Tigger was there, but ran off before we got a picture. I was going to ask him if he was MKtiggerman.
I keep my eyes open for ChirsKennday, I think she was there around the same time, but didn't see her. Hope your trip was wonderful also. The weather was just great.
