I have just returned from 10 days at WDW. Next planned trip will be April 2027. If they put up the construction walls now then hopefully they can get it all reconstructed by the time I next visit...

[My honest opinion...the World Celebration gardens, with the associated ambient music, are a nice place to sit and unwind, therefore much better than what was there immediately preceding, but the lighting whether broken or not is not great, Communicore Hall is meh, the planter is not a good replacement for the Fountain of Nations, and the stage especially with that Encanto show, is horribly misplaced and ruins the atmosphere. They even have cast members stationed around the perimeter leading the applause after each song in case the audience, if there is any, is not complying. Same goes for any "parties" that the stage is hosting, it's just too loud and looks like a nightclub.]

Hey there, Imagineering!
Here's a good example of how embedded lighting can work, along with some kinetics to boot!

The walkway looks a bit dirty. You know what it needs?...

All of the old lighting covers have now been replaced with the new opaque ones.
Looks like the problem is fixed! Great job everyone! 🙃

...I wonder if it's sealed into the ground or just a temp replacement...one of those would tell if there's a chance of the lighting being repaired.
