The American Classic or... the American Classic?I had a burger at Electric Umbrella. Once. Never went back.
I had a burger at Connections. Many times. Keep going back.
That is all.

I feel like you’re being obtuse on purpose. Floor to ceiling at Connections are two stories of windows with the entire wall being windows. EU has one story of windows broken up in a section and then the main area had a short two story section only in the breezeway. I don’t know many malls with General tso chicken salad, peruvian salad, leige waffles, Baumkuchen but you are clearly the expert on Connections so you must know the menu so well. You also proved you have no idea about Connections because they have fill-your-own soda machines still there.
Bistro. The American Classic or... the American Classic?
Pretty sure it's currently off the menu and French onion burger is on for the festival.Bistro.
What did you get? The general two salad and bistro burger were some of the best QS i’ve hadI'm aware. I'm also aware of where they are in the building. Good luck stopping in for a quick refill of your water bottle.
8 items. 1 burger, 1 vegetarian burger, 1 chicken sandwich, 3 flatbreads, 2 salads. It ain't rocket science. And I was less than impressed with what I had there.
Yes, it was good.Man oh man..No one seems to be ranting on Liberty inn's old menu before the switch...And that was another good place to go...

But what "theme" do you want them to stick to? You prefer the look of Electric Umbrella, so would you have preferred a 1990s theme? Or just some random "themed" buildings? The best quick services, as far as I'm concerned, are the ones that have a theme, stick to it, and offer you a reason to roam and explore. Pinocchio's Village House, Restaurant O'saurus, Backlot Express, etc. None of them look like modern buildings and most don't have the all-so-important hallmarks (note that Backlot Express has some floor to ceiling windows and actually uses them well to balance with drab colors in the interior, without putting them everywhere), but none of them get called dated because they aren't; they are themed spaces in a theme park. They are well themed spaces in a theme park.
That's what should have happened. Instead of replacing the dated place by starting the clock over with something that looks like places people already regularly encounter they should've made it actually themed. Make something unique. But they can't do that because despite it being part of an Epcot overhaul they never actually figured out what the heck the theme of Epcot is, or "World Discovery" or "World Celebration" for that matter. So now we have this because Future World should be contemporary, but it's not Future World anymore, and it's just a random mash up of crap where no one knows what the point is supposed to be other than Baby's First Motivational Calendar (ft Guardians of the Galaxy and Moana and Nemo and Random Old Epcot Stuff!).
At best (& however briefly), I considered EU "contemporary"...but I enjoyed it...especially for the view of Horizons (nothing to go out of my way for...it fulfilled the "quick service" role. I never liked the stress-mess that the adjacent store was (especially after they got rid of the 2nd floor). But what "theme" do you want them to stick to? Sorry, but I'm going to have to counter with "Good luck getting around everyone filling their water bottles to fill the soda cup that you paid for."I'm aware. I'm also aware of where they are in the building. Good luck stopping in for a quick refill of your water bottle.
Well played.Sorry, but I'm going to have to counter with "Good luck getting around everyone filling their water bottles to fill the soda cup that you paid for."
