As they have done for decades?
Maybe let me correct myself?
*They've proven they can continue to do incredible rockwork*
I guess it's the one thing they haven't gotten worse at.

Adding a roofop garden to communicore would have been a great idea. Access via sweeping ramps and maybe bridge between buildings it would have been a great space and allowed for the buildings below to be repurposed into the festival center with the gardens aboveI wonder if they could have repurposed this building? Add an extra level on top and make the first level open air?
The people in charge are not creative enough to think of things like thatAdding a roofop garden to communicore would have been a great idea. its a shame they never went down this route
Itās a bit difficult to know that as of now, the EPCOT monorail line is still closed.Have the spiels on the various transportation modes been updated to include the new EPCOT area names (e.g. World Celebration) as of yet?
I think thatās the plan for when the new MouseGear and Starbucks open, which is aiming for a summer opening.Do we think theyāll wait till the whole middle area is complete before reopening the main path through the middle or is there a certain point theyāll rearrange the walls to create a path? This might have been discussed as well, but is there a certain date their aiming for to get this middle area open? I feel like once demo is done they could landscape the area fairly āquickā to get the park moving away from the construction zone look.
How long has it been closed for?Itās a bit difficult to know that as of now, the EPCOT monorail line is still closed.
Will be a year of closure next month on the 15thHow long has it been closed for?
Which is a right pity, considering they let EPCOT go to said dogs...I no longer trust them to build a dog house.
Wow. I had no idea. Is it because of COVID or future world (de)construction? Will be a year of closure next month on the 15th
Itās easy to be creative if you armchair imagineer with other peopleās money and no relevant insight! The people in charge are not creative enough to think of things like that
I'd imagine budget cuts or COVID reasons. Doesn't help that the Epcot Monorail station areas have been turned into a standby for the Magic Kingdom monorailWow. I had no idea. Is it because of COVID or future world (de)construction?
What problem was there with CommuniCore West that made its reuse cost prohibitive compared to a smaller, less flexible structure with a starchitectās design fee attached?Itās easy to be creative if you armchair imagineer with other peopleās money and no relevant insight!
I donāt know what problems the building may/may not have had. But I can dream up some magnificent solutions if ācreativityā is the goal! What problem was there with CommuniCore West that made its reuse cost prohibitive compared to a smaller, less flexible structure with a starchitectās design fee attached?
Please, advise me of your copious insight which I lack. Iād love to hear, by all means.I donāt know what problems the building may/may not have had. But I can dream up some magnificent solutions if ācreativityā is the goal!
Iām not defending the table building or the demolition of CommuniCore West. Just saying that a blanket statement about the lack of creativity at WDI might be a bit easy to make for a fan on a Disney forum.
I donāt know what insight you may or may not have. But unless youāre a current or former Imagineer, I assume there might be a few things you donāt know. Please, advise me of your copious insight which I lack. Iād love to hear, by all means.
