Could this be where one of the "legs" for the Wonder Table" will be built?

I saw that too. It made me wonder if there should be a separate thread for this structure. It is a really interesting building. Will it be really cool and a great addition or something you can only see if you pay?

Am I the only one who can’t stand the Walt statue?

It’s stupid and insulting. First of all he had nothing to do with Epcot center the theme park, yes it’s sitting in the same location and uses the name of the futuristic city he wanted to build in Florida but that’s it. Walt didn’t design it as a park, he didn’t come up with the concepts of future world and world showcase in fact he had minimal to do with Walt Disney world as a whole since he unfortunately died during its early development.

First Disney completely disrespects the concept and idea of Epcot by turning it into yet another magic kingdom/studios park with movie rides and then throws in a Walt statue as if to say “this is exactly what Walt would have wanted”.

Remind me to flip the bird back at the bobs if i ever run into them.
how about "inspired by"?

Looks like it's my turn for the updated Wallcot Center Map. Not counting the tram loop walls here

I was amazed at how much was blocked off this past weekend. My friend wanted me to get pics of the fountain and I had to tell her it was sadly already walled up. I’m excited for the changes coming to Future World but boy, is it going to look a mess a for a few years... or well more a mess than it was before. Hopefully Disney builds fast ;)

Also... I know people have complained about the Guardians show building, but honestly, I really didn’t notice it. I guess they picked a good shade of blue.

How are they routing people out after Illuminations? Looks like going by Odyssey to TT then thru Innoventions East, or via West side thru Innoventions. I'm thinking it will be a nightmare for the last Illuminations.

There’s a wall of crowd control CM’s flagging everyone exiting from showcase west down the newly widened walkway by Imagination, with additional CM’s along the way directing that crowd through the FW West breezeway. Seems to be taking a decent load off the central path, but it’s still going to be ugly with any serious crowd.

I've always enjoyed lingering after IllumiNations until we were among the last out of the park. Always a special time for us, as is the "kiss goodnight" at MK. In any case, I think I'll be glad that we're at the Dolphin on the 30th. Being funneled between all those walls doesn't seem like an especially magical memory for the final show.

With Skyliner up and running, I'm halfway considering parking at the Studios on the 30th instead of the Epcot lot. The parking / endless walk around fences / pointless tram situation is almost worse then the current state of TTC/MK parking. It's very ugly.

What's the story behind the Horizons light pole?
It was one of two poles (The second one was by World of Motion, taken out in the Test Track 2.0 refurb) which held floodlights pointed towards the Horizons showbuilding. It was part of the lighting package for the attraction. They both stayed up and illuminated nothing when Horizons got removed. Eventually the lights were removed from this one and now it’s just a pole. I always made it a point to check up on it every weekend. One of those more obscure remnants

Don't forget once the Skyliner is fully operational there will be three more resorts that have transport options from International Gateway, this may help with the amount of people trying to leave via the main entrance.
