Big and Tall friend to Walt Disney World

Hey y’all, I’m trying to bring two big and tall friends to WDW in a couple months. I don’t want to take them there and they can’t ride any of the rides. I know WDW is generally very friendly to larger builds, but I’m not sure in this situation.

My one friend is 6’3 325 pounds.

The other is 6’5 375 pounds.

I’ve ruled out Universal for the trip as I know a substantial number of rides won’t work for them.

Any insight?

Most all will work for them but it depends on their flexibility. I was once 5'8" and 310 (still 5'8", but a Iot thinner now) and fit in everything. There are some new attractions that I haven't witnessed yet so I can't speak for them. It also depends on where the weight is located, body wise. The second one might be more restricted, size wise, but most will be doable. It also depends on muscularity. Muscle is heavier then fat so if a person is heavy they don't necessarily take up a lot more room because muscle is more compact. I'm sure that is not the answer you are looking for, but it might give you a basis to work with.

those heights are not all that tall. 6' 3" is not even noteworthy tall. Meaning if one walked by it's not as if that height would draw any attention. And at 6'5" I'd say close to the same thing. Around 6' 8", (3 inches taller than average NBA player) or taller is when I'd say the height could factor in enough to upset the cart.

the 300lb+(this assumes body volume would be very substantial) likely could factor in on select attractions. But the vast majority of attractions I bet they are good to go.

As somone who fits the lesser of those two dimensions, yes it is quite doable. What they will enjoy will depend a great deal on themselves. I for instance don't do a lot of the roller-coaster type rides because I hate those types of rides. But I have friends larger than me who do them quite often. In general they are not going to have much of any problem. The biggest problem may be the long walking, depending more on their ability to walk than their size.

Seven Dwarves Mine Train isn't exactly comfy for somebody just under 6' and under 200, most dark rides will be fine
I rode it at 5'8" and almost 310. I little tight, not something that I would have wanted to ride for hours but for the amount of time it goes, it is survivable. Nothing painful. I think height is a bigger factor but for some body types it can be unfitable. Width side to side is the most problematic. Weight located back to front (profile) most of the time is doable.

Paging @JenniferS who's hubby is over 6ft. As someone who's five feet tall, I have no insight, but I hope you have a nice trip.
Mike is tall, but not particularly large.
6’ 8”, 235-260 (over various trips) ….

- 7DMT - crushes his knees
- RnRC - crushes his shoulders
- FoP - usually takes multiple attempts to secure the restraint
- Pirates, Gran Fiesta, and LwtL - we are always assigned a row for just the two of us, so that he can spread his legs. This courtesy is seldom offered on NRJ due to crowds, so it’s a very tight squeeze.
- EE is tight, but doable.

I can’t think of any other rides that were overly problematic. Again, most of his issues are because of height, not so much because of bulk.

That being said, for him, the worst ride is always the plane flight there and back, because his cheap wife will never pay for the upgraded seats.

At least shoot for exit row!...unless you have kids.

6'2" 290lbs. here. I am built like a professional NFL lineman more or less. Or at least one who retired.

Take him to Universal too. That's no issue. Harry Potter is the only ride I couldn't get on, and even then it was close.

Nothing at WDW can I ever remember not being able to go on. This isn't Six Flags with extreme coasters that rightfully have size restrictions. I can remember the Matterhorn at Disneyland being tight, and Space Mountain at either park is snug for me, but there is no issue. I would suggest both of those big men you are talking about maybe aren't next to each other on Thunder/Splash/Space Mountain or anything, but other than that, it's fine.

You're one friend is noticeably bigger than I am, but even then I am pretty sure it is all good for him.

I went to the Islands this past year and saw people who were noticeably smaller than my friends fail Velocicoaster's test seat. I've also just heard in general, Universal is less friendly.

Less "big" friendly than Disney, sure. But everywhere is. It is hard to beat Disney in this regards, their rides truly are for everyone.

At my largest years ago, I was 343lbs (currently 240) and 6' 7" tall. I had ZERO issues riding any attractions in all 4 parks, however on things like 7DMT and BTMRR I had to, and still have to cross my legs to fit comfortably. The only attraction that gave me the slightest of issues was Flight of Passage, and that was due to the odd back restraint it uses. Once a cast member told me how to sit though, it closed with ease.

I am 6'3, 329 and so far fit into everything I cared to ride. 7 dwarfs was tight as well as FOP. I have not tried any of the Star Wars rides or Slinky Dog. My main issue is lack of leg room, so Test Track, Pirates, Big Thunder Mt, etc can be painful on the knees. I won't be riding much on my upcoming trip due to a spinal fracture ( and probably lost a little height, but the legs remain the same...). I have not been to Universal since 1998.

In our trip last year, 7DMT was the only ride we didn’t fit on. I’m 6’1” and 249 and made it. My travel partner was larger (I’m too smart to ask by how much) and couldn’t fit.

It was a tight fit on FoP, but she made it.
