I know my daughter would love the princess makeover, but I don't want her to be disappointed because they don't have costumes in her size. Does anyone know what the largest costume size available is? Thanks in advance!

I don't know but when I called to book for my daughter (called the boutique directly), they were wonderful and FULL of info and tips.

But if they do not have a size to accomodate her, you could always bring along a costume of your own and add their accessories! Even if it is not an actual princess costume, you could find her a tutu and princess shirt and add the tiara and jewels that day.

Good luck!

We are going to BBB in a few weeks with our 3 kids and we are taking costumes that we purchased ourselves. We actually got them online from disneyoutlet.com for a lot less than they normally are.

I was thinking of doing this for daughters. Help me to understand....do the kids stay made up all day as they experience the park for the day? I am assuming the experience us cheaper if you bring your own costume?

I would say it is up to them. We bought somewhat of a Birthday Princess costume (she is not really into the princesses but more being pampered!). She will wear the basic outift until our appt at noon and then get the works done, adding the crown and accessories.

I chose these times bc I figured that by the time we get to CRT, she will not be a wreck but she will still get alot of time out of the "makeover" results.

Our reservation is at 4 in the afternoon so we are planning on taking the costumes with us for the day. I have twin daughters and they both have snow white costumes. I don't expect them to wear them all day. We were thinking they would probably wear them for a while after the makeover.

It is cheaper if you bring your own costume instead of purchasing there.

Our son is also going there for the cool dudes hair style.

Yes to both questions. You see many young girls who have had the "treatment" in all their glory for the whole day (sometimes two).

Here's the pricing options:

"DISNEY'S SECRET STAR": the Super Star Hannah Montana Makeover -- costs $109.95. The package also includes a wig, T-shirt, headset, makeup kit, guitar purse and a photo shoot with a commemorative photo. (Only available at the Downtown Disney location.)

COOL DUDE: includes Hair Style, Colored Gels/Sparkles, Mickey Face Stencil: $7.50 (no tax on this service)

COACH: includes Hair Style, Shimmering Makeup, Princess Sash: $49.95 + tax

CROWN: includes Hair Style, Shimmering Makeup, Nails, Princess Sash: $54.95 + tax

CASTLE: includes Hair Style, Shimmering Makeup, Nails, Princess Sash, Princess Costume and Shoes, Crown, Wand, and Imaging Package, which includes 1 - 6x8 and 4 - 4x6 photos in a beautifully themed photo holder: Price range is $189.95 - $249.95 + tax.

NOTE: Price range is determined by the choices of Princess Costume and Shoes.

Some general rules for all little girls and boys:

-- children must be at least 3 years old.
-- hair must be freshly clean and brushed out (no tangles)
-- hair must be free of all styling aids/products like gels, mousse, hair spray, barettes, etc.

My daughters have had the makeover twice now, the last time being in June 08 (9 and 7 at the time). The one thing I can say is that although they enjoyed the makeover and everything that goes with it. They both started complaining fairly soon after leaving BBB that the dresses were very scratchy and made them itch.

Needless to say the dresses didn't last long.

We had a 9:00 appointment in the BBB in the Castle and we did the full package. By the time the makeovers were done and we got the pictures taken, that was it for my oldest daughter. Even though we had CRT at 11:30, she wouldn't leave the dress on for it. She was just too miserable! My youngest made it until just after lunch and then that was it.

I do have to say, the hairstyles stayed in for several days. In fact, we had to almost use a chisel to get everything out of their hair!

Thanks for all the advice! I did learn that the dresses run from extra-small to large in children's sizes only. Since my little princess would be a tad confined in a child's large, we're planning to buy her a dress to take along. So far, what I've seen online look amazing, and I'm sure she'll be thrilled. But I'll be sure to ask lots of questions when I call to make her appointment.

Thanks again!
