Was curious do any places allow you to order your beef the way you want? Or is it like most places now a days, medium well and up :hurl:

At the TS resturants you should be able to order like you want it. As far as QS and Hamburgers I would think you will get them the way they cook them.

There's a big difference between a steak and ground beef.

I'm not aware of any restaurant that doesn't cook steaks to order, whatever temprature you'd like, but I'm also not aware of any place on property I'd not want the hamburger patty cooked well done.

This.

I'm not sure you'd WANT a mass-produced hamburger any cooler than medium-well. That being said, I agree with you on the steak, and you shouldn't have any trouble at the table service restaurants (I'm thinking Epcot mainly).

My rule....

If the restaurant doesn't trust their meat to be cooked under medium, you don't want to eat the meat at all. Food is either par cooked or low quality.

Med rare is the only way to go for me.

Counter service is different. Never been to a CS where burgers weren't well done.

Good rule.

Like others have said most CS places only serve well done. Most TS places will cook it how you like it. Some places even do very rare.

Agreed

I prefer most meats cooked well rare of medium. But for ground beef at a SQFB location, where it is most likely pre-formed at a factory elsewhere, 160 F internal temp is what I want.

I eat raw eggs, raw seafood, raw beef (when sourced correctly), raw (unpasturized) dairy products, and a host of other "scary" things, but I have no problems with a well cooked WDW QSFB hamburger.

Yea thats the rule ive know for a long time. It was more of a does Disney use quality beef.

Thanks for the responses, i knew at QS they wouldnt cook them anyway you wont. One it would take longer to get everyones burgers done, this way they can mass produce them in advance during busy periods. Plus they dont need to train the people working how to cook them properly.

I've eaten plenty of Disney steaks and burgers and I've never seen or tasted anything that gave me reason to pause. I've seen a little variation in cuts of steak from time to time but nothing outside what I'd consider a normal range of quality.

I can't recall ever having less than a good burger, but by the nature of how those are made it's a lot easier to get high consistency.
