Beware when modifying Dining ressies.

We have run into 2 issues now when we have modified a dining ressie from dinner to a lunch time. In both cases, we have gotten a reservation confirmation for the new time but both the app and My Disney Experience still showed the old dinner time which prevented us from making new dinner reservations for that evening. The first time was not a problem as we opted to dine in the room but the second time necessitated an hours worth of wait/talk time to get a dinner reservation through the phone reservation system. NOT very magical.

I've had that happen too, multiple times, multiple trips. For me it's annoying because on a trip I like to be able to use the app to let me know where we need to go next. If something is missing from our plans list it's quite inconvenient and I have to keep track of it a different way. I've stopped using the modify feature for dining reservations and instead just add the one I want and afterward cancel the one I no longer want. If the times are in the same block it's necessary to cancel first and then add. This is a little risky because the new reservation could get snatched up while going through the process but I've been lucky so far.

I find refreshing "my plans" works at getting everything up to date. It won't always do it automatically, but if you swipe down at the top, it'll do so and tell you when it was last updated.

Thank you for posting this. I never noticed the refresh and was getting so irritated that things I had cancelled were still showing on the app.

I did as you suggested but I still have a reservation missing on the app. It does show on the desktop version though.

Has happened recently to me too. What I did was make an entirely new lunch reservation; then went back and cancelled the original dinner plan (rather than try to modify it).

I had the problem of a canceled reservation still showing up in both the app and on line, even though I had a confirmed cancellation and had booked something else. Called the Help Desk and they said it was a glitch in the software, and were able to delete the canceled reservation, but assured me that it was showing in their system as cancelled before they deleted it. Apparently their IT people are working on the problem.

Yes I've had this issue too. I have one reservation that neither the site or app will load the cancel button. Just that one of course the one I want to cancel lol.

Wow I can't believe I didn't remember this. Just fixed my crazy MDE reservations (it was showing a bunch I had cancelled)
