Beware of hitch hiking... illnesses

Regarding park illnesses - after having a child I will add a fear of skin based conditions to my list of worries. To be fair he has gotten these from swim class, daycare and school (not the parks, where the sun no doubt helps) but once you’ve been through molluscum, hand foot and mouth and impetigo it leaves residual anxiety. Hours upon hours of my life spent dabbing these medieval plague looking things with q-tips, waiting for one layer to dry before going to the next (sterilize then numb then salicylic acid, for example). I am squeamish about my bare skin touching a seat or bench where someone else’s sweaty bare skin has been. Leggings for me when possible.

Well its a public space, so if you or any member of your party have a propensity to capture any bacterium, fungus, or virus that can be left behind, do what you must. Disney does a great job of keeping things clean, but people are a reservoir of infection when the pathogen that causes a disease lives, grows, and multiplies within them, allowing it to be transmitted to another host. You're facing not only what is endemic to Central Florida, but additionally what's prevalent from wherever guests are visiting from.
