Just to clarify, just because I say Soarin' is more Disney to me doesn't mean in any way that I don't still like LMA. Its AMAZING what those guys can do with cars in front of a live audience and to do it multiple times a day? Hats off!

The only thing that these two attractions have in common is that they're both new. Judging by the threads and trip reports that frequently report Soarin' with wait times over 60 - 70 minutes - I think this poll will be very one - sided

Soarin

My vote is without a doubt for Soarin. And if you look back at my old posts you'll even see that I was originally afraid to try it because of a fear of heights - it was so incredible I couldn't think about how high up I was. :sohappy:

People were oooing and ahhhing the entire ride. And the best part is how everyone cheers when they see Disneyland at the end. Something about being in the presence of other Disney Fans that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy. Guess that's why I like all of you so much...

I thought LMAX was cool, but it was about 200 degrees out in the dead of July, so I was rather uncomfortable. And the crowds to get in and out are just ugly. I think when my husband and I go back next November we will try it again.

But as far as I can tell it will never be better than Soarin - imo.

I thought LMAX was awful. Too much jabbering and not enough action.

I agree...we had to sit at the very top and couldn't really even hear/understand what the girl was saying. I liked all the action and driving okay [Pls understand we walked up 100 flights of bleachers in 100 degree weather and sat crammed into a bench LOL so my enthusiasm was minimal.] but I would take Soarin 100x more than LMA. I agree with MK...it is my new favorite on the property. Just amazing.

When my friend came down to visit me, and we went to see LMA, there was a family in front of us, and the little boy was a toddler. He was lying on the bench, and the parents were trying to fan him with a map. I took out a fan (the kind you can buy in China at Epcot) and offered to let the parents use it. So yeah, I understand the problems with heat in July/August!

But I still say I prefer LMA. Might help that I'm friends with a few of the drivers :-P

Soarin'

Pros: Great Ride, Makes you feel like you're actually there, I love how the sights and scent go together perfectly, trivia at the queues makes it a bit more fun.

Cons: Long Wait Time, I wish they would change the setting of the ride to Florida.

LMAX

Pros: Fun to see how stunts are really performed, a bit of audience interaction, very fun to watch.

Cons: Outdoors so you're at the mercy of the weather, most stunts you've seen a million times before in movies, you can get away with just seeing it once or twice.

Overall Winner:
Soarin'

hands down...Soarin...my fiance fell asleep during LMAX...now granted, it was our first day at Disney and we had to wake up at 6:00 in the morning that morning, but still...

I'm trying to get psyched up for this attraction when we go on our next trip...and I just can't. The whole premise does nothing for me.
