Better Lobby Atrium: Grand Floridan or Wilderness Lodge?

Ha Ha, this was exactly the question I posed to my husband Saturday! We went to the parks, but the rain was a bit much so we decided to take an easy day. We hopped off the monorail at GF and walked around the lobby, did some shopping, and stopped at the café, we were going to have desert and a coffee but the hostess told us to go to Gasperillas for that, not impressed in the least with Gasperilla we skipped it and got back on the monorail. Got off at MK and took a boat to WL. After shopping, site seeing, (I've stayed there many times, it is my all time favorite, however, my husband had never been there) making use of the lobby restrooms, we stopped into roaring fork for a cupcake and coffee. We even liked the quick service restaurant better at WL. I asked my husband, so which do you prefer if we were to stay at one? He enthusiastically responded WL. After we finished dessert and coffee, we went back to the lobby and just sat, and looked at everything. I don't know what it is, but the lobby of WL, to me, is gorgeous. Whereas, we walked into GF and said, that's pretty, the band and pianist are cool, but it isn't something I would sit and listen to. We just felt warm at WL and in awe.

GF is so lovely at Christmas w/ the Gingerbread House.:D
WL is just stunning! It's amazing to see!:)
I do like the beautiful orchestra and the chandelier in the GF lobby.:)
At Easter the GF has an "egg" display that's very pretty.:)
I love both! I can't decide! Each has it's own particular charm to it.;)

In the Parks
No
We have stayed at both and they are totally different styles. That makes it tough to compare. I love staying at both, but there is a reason our October stay is at GF!!!

Grand Floridian--I spent two hours there last Thursday just sitting in the lobby on a couch. When I first arrived, there was a Harpist playing on the balcony and then she took a break and the Piano player started. Both played beautiful relaxing music. It is a nice way to escape the crowds and relax.

I love the GF, but I keep my wife away lol. Last time we ate at Narcoossee, I spent 2 hours in the lobby while she shopped. We had about $400.00 worth of soap, lotions, and perfume. More than I could carry back to Board Walk.
