Best week in January for Disney--thoughts??

Hi all, we have avail Jan 8-14th or Jan 15-20th to go to disney.....what are your thoughts on the better wk to go based on crowd levels-- I do see Martin Luther King holiday is on Jan 16th, so was concerned that could pull in more people that week but we have no idea as we have never been to Disney in January. Thanks for your thoughts.

The 8-14th should be a little less crowded according to the crowd calendars at Touring Plans. The 8th -14th is also included in the free dining dates if that helps make your decision.

The weather in January is hit or miss. We've been in January when the weater was gorgeous and we've been when we were quite chilly.

Overall we enjoy January though. :)

You should be pretty good either week but I'd say the first week only because of the holiday. I've been in January the past 2 years and love it. It rarely is very crowded and the weather is generally nice. Be sure to pack a decent jacket though. It's gotten into the 40s at night sometimes and there's nothing worse than only having brought clothes for 70 degree days.

We always go in early January and love it. Not too crowded, my only real complaint is I don't think I've ridden Splash in a decade as it seems to always be down in January.*

Depending on where you are from, 40 in January can feel like 70 ;)

*fingers crossed for this years trip.
