Best weather ever

With the exception of a week in May several years ago, last week (Dec 4-13) was the best weather we've had at WDW in about 30 trips since 1986. It was far better than our trips in April '05 and '06. The pattern every day was basically the same: low 80s during the day; lows 60s at night. The morning brought clear blue skies with patches of afternoon clouds - fluffy and white with some dark clouds that just blew over. By nightfall the clear skies would return. Even locals commented on the wonderful weather. We're going again in May. I hope we didn't use up all of our good-weather pixie dust.

You're absolutely correct. Up until yesterday, the weather has been almost perfect. We've had local morning fog, but it's burned off to reveal beuatiful days.

Last night was very different, with rain and storms over most of Florida, with a cold front behind it. It should be cooler (freeze predicted during the night tonight here) so any guests who didn't bring a sweatshirt/jacket to the parks this moprning may be in for a rude surprise tonight.

I'll still take the rain over what other areas got when this same front moved in.

It's colder now, at 1PM, than it was at 7AM....and expected to keep getting colder. There is also a strong wind, which will increase the wind chill factor. Granted, it's not cold by northern standards, but anyone who went to the parks this morning wearing shorts and a tee shirt will be pretty uncomfortable soon. (If not already)

That's one of the great things about Florida Weather...If you don't like it wait about 5-10 minutes it'll change....:ROFLOL:

Heck I remember back in 1992 it stayed cool kind of sweater weather into May...

I packed for last week with short sleeve t-shirts for in the morning and longer sleeved, more adult, shirts for the evening (and dinner). I came back w/o wearing a single long sleeved shirt. I actually had to buy clothes to wear while there.
