Best Way to Get to Illuminations Cruise

My wife and another couple are going to be in WDW Sept.10 -17 staying at POFQ. We've booked the Illuminations cruise as a suprise for our wives and after we eat at the Corral Reef Restaurant we'll run to the yacht club Marina to catch our boat.

What we were wondering was what is the fastest way to get there from Epcot? I was thinking probably the international gateway but had read you have to be staying at the Boardwalk or Yachtclub. Any suggestions or thoughts would be great.

Thanks.

Anyone can exit and enter through the International Gateway. (Parking at a hotel near the IG is another issue entirely) The utterly fastest way to get from the IG to the dock where you pick up the Cruise is to walk. If you weren't in a rush, you also could take the boat.

With walking, just walk straight down the path toward the Yacht & Beach. Go *past* the lighthouse dock (this is where the Friendships dock to go to the parks). You need to go to the Yacht Club's marina at the far end of the Yacht Club, which is where the cruises leave from.

1-407-WDW-PLAY, I had to call as soon as the lines opened up as it sells out extremely quickly. When I finally got through after maybe 5 minutes of trying there was only two cruises left.

You can also have champagne etc. on the cruise with you. I'm really looking forward to suprising them!!

Was thinking of planning this in the future for my family.

How far in advance of the date you want to plan this for will the lines open up for calling?
