Step Two: Slide under the rope, explaining to the rest of the people in line that this is your party and you are not cutting. Viola! Two rides in one morning.

It's Vuala! A viola is an instrument. But back to the point...

Vuala! You just cut in line. I wouldn't suggest trying that in front of someone that has my same disposition about this sort of thing. I flat refuse to allow people (kids included) to slip past me into the line I have been waiting patiently in, with my entire family, for any length of time. And no, it isn't okay to do this. It's rather arrogant to assume other people's time is less important than yours. I know, I know... "What's it hurt. I'm only one person!". So are the others that try this same thing. I have even refused to allow children past me to "catch up" with parents. If the parents feel okay letting their kids away from them to go get FPs for the group then they'll be fine waiting for the kids at the exit of the ride. :)

I also don't think it is appropriate to send some of your party ahead, to catch up with them later. Certainly not for fastpasses.
If you want to ride together, the people ahead can let others pass and wait until the latecomer has caught up with them.

Et voilà!

We always b-line to RNRC and ride it once or twice then go get our fast passes for Toy Story. Gives the initial long line of fast passers time to clear out.
