Best times in parks if had to pick one

Evening/nighttime. We usually won't enter a park before noon. As a family, we're more likely to sleep in, eat a big breakfast in our room (DVC condo), take our time getting ready with the WDW preview channel planning on loop. Then we'll head out the door whenever we feel like it and get our start on the day, usually staying til closing - or as the case often is, the end of evening EMH.

Of course, doing this, and also being the type that's never willing to wait more than an hour for a ride, we realize there will be some attractions we hardly ever ride (we save TSMM and Soarin for our trips to Disneyland, where the lines are much shorter, and we don't usually care for rides like Test Track or Rock'n'Roller Coaster anyway). But I think our experience in the parks tends to be a very relaxed and satisfying one. I also think quite a few parks are more beautiful/atmospheric at night, and the crowds seem more manageable as well.

On our last trip, we walked from Boardwalk to DHS at around noon, and did GMR, Muppets, and one of us single-ridered RnRC while the rest of us watched Indy. Since our usual staple of Star Tours was under refurb (and TSMM lines were 3+ hours), we called it a day, watched some street entertainment on Hollywood Blvd, and headed back to the room. Then we hopped a bus at to the Magic Kingdom at 6ish and stayed there til closing... that's a typical day at WDW for our family.
