Stormalong Bay? Too crowded.

With kids big or small, I prefer the pool at Port Orleans French Quarter. It’s not too big or too small. The big dragon slide is pure fun. The temperature of the pool always seems perfect. And there's a hot tub right around the corner. When you get bored of this pool, (I think it’s allowed to) trek over to the Riverside pool, which is usually a little more crowded but completely different from the French Quarter pool.

For adults, nothing beats late night dips at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The two gigantic and secluded hot tubs are amazing.

I absolutely hated the pools at Pop. The theming was great, but they were extremely crowded and there was no shade. And, of course, no slides or water features sans some squirting flowers. I guess you get what you paid for!

All of the resorts now have a sign stating that the pools are guests staying at that resort only. It was also in the guide you get on check in.

For example, the WL guide listed the FW pool as being ONLY for FW guests, and vice versa. Do they check everyone's ID? Not always. Is the policy against pool hopping clearly stated? Yes. Is it OK to do it? I think it's wrong, but that's my own personal morality. Lord knows people do far worse. Let YOUR conscience be your guide. :animwink:

When we were there in June we were checked for pool ID at the BC before we could enter the pool area. T hey have a stand with someone standing there just to check the ID. Then t hey put a wrist band on your wrist.
