I'm a fan of Frontier Land for parades and the when looking at the castle - the bridge to the right - I stand up against the wall so you can "lean". A lot of people like the Main Street experience for the parades but I think it gets too crowded. As for fireworks, you see people spill into the streets and stand in the middle of Main Street and that is a great view too.

MK Fireworks-End of main street near Casey's
MK Parades-The circle in front of the castle, main st is very crowded.

Epcot-Fireworks we really like the steps in Canada. Good view of the Globe and everything, not very crowded at all.

Parades: I prefer Frontierland. It always seems to get crazy on Main st. Never had a problem there and always had a good view.

Fireworks: I have been all over the places for these, but lining yourself up with the front of the castle is the best. So from the hub all the way down main street is pretty good. I also have watched from the bridge leading to tomorrowland and its ok.

Parades: AK and DHS - it doesn't seem to matter
MK - I agree with closer to the hub being a bit less congested and easier it having better viewing ops since your viewing angle isn't quite as limited.

Fireworks: Epcot - it's pretty much the same everywhere except at the two back corners of World Showcase as long as you don't have trees or buildings blocking your view. Use the wind estimator here at WDWMagic to select the side opposite the wind direction to keep smoke from being an issue.
MK - The best place is just south of the hub. The way I look at it, the Castle is the star of the show and the fireworks are the effects that go over the top of it. Your distance from the Castle determine how high up and large the firework bursts seem to appear above it. The further back the smaller the Castle and higher the bursts look. Here are a couple of examples. One just south of the hub and one from just north of Minnie and Roy on Main St. Please note, the pictures crop your field of view quite a bit. When you are really there, you can still see the whole show just south of the hub.

We love both Frontier Land and Liberty Square for MK parades. Sure Main Street is nice, but WAY too crowded. I will say this about Wishes, DO NOT get a spot right in fron of the castle, it blocks alot of the show. I like the Tomorrowland Bridge.

Mk... anywhere down Main Street, but I agree that Casey's Corner is the one spot I like the most.

Epcot... Anything up wind, do not stand down wind you will be sorry. But I love watching from either England or Mexico depending on the wind.

JediMasterMatt . . . I am guessing a tripod and a very expensive camera . . . right???

FANTASTIC photos!!!

Thanks for the comments.

Actually, these pictures were taken with a very cheap (but tall) tripod and realtively inexpensive Olympus DSLR (e300).

My next trip... now that is a different matter. Very different breed of camera going along (Nikon D700).
