Best section of Be Our Guest?

So my mum and I have actually booked a vacation! And we've decided that as huge Beauty and the Beast fans we are obligated to try it out at dinner! Which section of the restaurant would you say is your favorite? Or if anyone has pictures or experiences of the different rooms. Also, you can meet the beast at dinner, right?

We prefer the Ballroom. The West Wing is too dark, and the other room just isn't special like the ballroom.
Yes. You can meet beast at dinner.

The Ballroom was my favorite, but we had fun touring the West Wing too :) It's one of my favorite restaurants on Disney property, and actually anywhere!

So if I eat at the ballroom I can walk around and see the other rooms? I have no idea why this didn't occur to me before! :hilarious: Sometimes I just don't use my brain!

You can! Lots of guests do and as long as you aren't disrupting the other guest's dinners I (nor the CM's) see it as a problem!

We ate in the West wing last trip. Loved it!! The people meandering about didn't bother us too much at all. Next time we are going to eat in both the West Wing again, and the Main Ball Room.

You can make a request. We were told by a cast member to eat in the west wing because the pictures change and the rose petals drop. Upon arrival we requested the west wing but it was going to be a 45 minute wait. We decided to go wherever.

We had already been there at lunch and ate in the ballroom. We ended up in the third room (don't know what it's called) for dinner. Everything was beautiful.

We did walk around after and I felt the west wing was very dark to eat in.

The West Wing was dark, but it was still lit well enough. It was fantastic!

Never eaten inside the West Wing, though it's cool to walk through. The Ballroom is beautiful, but it's very crowded usually and, as has been noted on sites like the Disney Food Blog, the amount and layout of tables makes it feel less like a castle ballroom and more like a cafeteria.

I'm going with door #3, the other room, as I forget what it's called. The giant music box is neat, it's less crowded and has a nice layout, and the paintings are all delightful.

Was seated in the far corner, next to the snowy windows. Was delighted -- gave beautiful view of the Ballroom during dinner. Had no problem wandering around the rooms after dinner and had fun getting pictures with the Beast before we departed. Would do it again in a minute......

We sat in the Ballroom. I enjoyed it however we were at a table for two near the West Wing entrance and felt like we were sitting with the couple next to us. The tables are very close together. Other then that it was a great experience and we are headed back for dinner in April.

We had the counter service lunch at BOG and ate in the West Wing, right in front of the portrait, which was very cool! I liked that it was in a corner, away from any high-traffic areas but convenient to the beverage dispensers. A few people came in to look around the room and check out the Prince/Beast's portrait and the enchanted rose, but it wasn't disruptive in any way. In contrast to the dark and slightly spooky West Wing, the Ballroom is bright and beautiful, but much louder and filled with "through traffic," although I imagine the ambiance is a bit quieter there for dinner. Enjoy your meal at Be Our Guest -- the food is certainly a cut above what you can find anywhere else in the Magic Kingdom, and it was one of the best meals of our trip.

(Sorry for the partial photo -- I had to crop out party members who haven't given me permission to put them online.)

I've eaten at BOG four times now. The first three times we were seated in the ballroom. Now, as amazing and as wonderful as the ballroom is, we were hoping we'd be seated in the West Wing at least once, but that didn't happen. Of course, the ballroom has a LOT more seating than the West Wing does, so your odds of being seated in the West Wing are on the low side.

As others have said, you do NOT get to pick which room you are seated in at dinner, although you can make a request--but again, given the smaller size of the West Wing, the chances are against you. Regardless, you can walk into the West Wing to look around if you end up being seated in the ballroom.

After our third dinner in the ballroom, we really wanted the chance to eat in the West Wing, so we decided to go for lunch so we'd have at least the chance of getting a seat in the other room since you can choose your own table at lunchtime. Even getting into the restaurant early for lunch the West Wing was full (ugh!). However, after noticing one table about to leave, my wife and I s-l-o-w-l-y made our way around the room, only to double-back and grab the table where people had just left from--whew! It was very atmospheric and we were thrilled to finally have had the chance to eat in the West Wing!

I'd say the only "bad" tables in BOG would be if you are seated in the ballroom in the back half farthest away from the windows with the falling snow (which is a lovely effect if you are close enough to enjoy it). If you are in the back half of the ballroom you do get a wonderful overall view of the restaurant, but you will miss out on enjoying the falling snow if you are too far away. And yes, it does take your eyes some time to adjust to see the snow if you are coming in from daylight outside.

Here's a photo of the West Wing from our table:

This sounds very similar to where we sat once in the ballroom when we were at a two-top...the tables are close together, which is a problem in quite a few of the nicer restaurants at WDW...especially for the smaller two-seaters (that means YOU Le Cellier!). Thankfully one of the times at BOG the two of us were seated at a four-top, which gave us a little more privacy for our meal.

If you have a lunch there you have the choice as to were you sit. You just have to find an empty table. For dinner you are assigned a seat. I did not know if you can request a special room. Here are some pictures from our dinner in 2013. This is the main ball room and meet and great with the Beast.

I went during Lunch when I was there last time and was able to get into the West Wing.
Mostly because I was by myself and could get a single table.

From what I noticed the West Wing is the most popular due to the special effects and the view of the rose.
But you can indeed get up and sightsee after your meal or so on. :3
