Best route from ASM to AKL

On our upcoming trip, my wife and I have a late evening dinner at Jiko, and I was wondering what was the best transportation option from All-Star Movies to the AKL?

Practice, baby, practice.

Man, that joke never gets old.

If it's at a time when the Animal Kingdom Theme Park is still open, your best bet would be to take a bus to the park, then transfer on a bus to the Lodge. Since the Lodge is so close to the park, there's usually more buses going to and from there than most other resorts.

However, if the park is closed by then, I think anything will be a crap shoot. Take the first bus you can to any of the other 3 parks, then transfer from there to AKL. I'd probably avoid taking a bus to Downtown Disney, only because you'll be going all the way over to the east side of Disney, then all the way back over to the west side, where AKL is. The odds of it taking more time is much greater, since you're going completely the opposite way first. However, if all the parks are closed by the time your meal is done, then you may have to return to your resort via DTD anyway.

You may want to consider biting the bullet this once and hiring a cab.

I usually suggest people take cabs because I just find it easier. In this case since it will be "late-evening" I think that the cab is really the very best option. Movies is really not that far from AKL, but if you cannot find a park that is open late or you are getting there just at closing it could be a real pain getting there. Take the cab, it is so close it will probably cost well less than $15 with tip.

If you are really against spending the extra $$ for a cab then if Epcot or DHS are open go there and then transfer to AKL. Go early if necessary. AKL is a really nice place to explore and just sit and relax. That is what we did when we had ADRs at Boma. We went a little earlier and looked around and it was great.

Enjoy Jiko!

What has already been suggested already answers your question. The cab is the fastest, and easiest way to go. The last time I took a cab from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Wilderness Lodge it was $16.75 not including tip. Your fare would definitely be less.
