Best Ride That Makes You Feel Part Of The Experience?

I think I would have to agree with Jason and go with TOT for this one. From the whole atmosphere in and around the area, to the waiting area itself, the entire thing exudes terror and really makes the whole experience very much a part of the "ride" itself. :)

I have to say the you cant beat ToT, right from the moment you enter the lobby, you feel like you are actually "in" the ride.

If you ever hear a bellhop say "Please drag your bodies into the dead center of the room." or any other Haunted Mansion spiels they aren't supposed to do that. Since Immagineers have made it quite clear that if you were going to a hotel to spend the night if the bellhops ran around saying "Don't lag behind bodies your not dead yet." who would want to stay there?

hands down.. Tower of Terror. It is the greatest "designed" and thought provoking attraction in the history of theme park design. From the second you first see it you know exactly the vibe it is giving off.. the music, the plants, the cracked cement knee walls, the old empty pond/pool/fountain.. whatever with the algae stains and the lights with the broken bulbs and the crack down the middle, the dusty lobby with everything "left" untouched, the lightning crashes in the window (in the libraries) timed with the bolts on the movie, bringing Rod Serling back from the dead, the desk in the boiler room with the coffee mug with the ring or stain where the coffee has evaporated over the decades.

who disagrees? prove me wrong, I'd love to see anyone try!

ToT?

I am actually going to have to disagree about Tower of Terror for one reason. While the whole atmosphere is AWESOME, and it seems like you are in an old hotel, etc, the feeling of being PART of it isn't real for me. As in, I don't feel (largely due to CMs and the way they play it) that I am at a hotel, and really getting into a real elevator, etc. It's still very much a ride, it's clear the whole time it is a ride -- you are aware the whole time thats you are on a ride. Other attractions, however, can let you slip, and for a moment, you can actually feel like you are THERE, really experiencing what is going on.
