This is surely a wind up.Ive tried McDonalds here in Scotland and I just don't like it at all.The burgers are tasteless to me.:(
I look at McDonalds from a consistency perspective. When you order a quarter pounder in the east coast, you pretty much know it's going to be like the quarter pounder on the west coast. I see having a McRib at McDonalds as the same as having a taco at Taco Bell.....you are not after quality. You are after a specific flavor or value.

If I want a good buger, I head to Five Guys. If I want BBQ its either Oklahoma Joe's or The Salt Lick.

I see the McRib is back for a limited time at McDonalds...

Well, I actually live in the only country that has the McRib on the McDonalds menu as a standard item... It is not a good substitute!!!!

Are there any more off-site suggestions? Would not mind to venture out of the bubble in my quest of eating good ribs which are more or less non existent at home!

Love the ribs in Flame Tree in Animal Kingdom, we would go there every year.
The portions were large and the quality excellent.......however, last year when we ate there the portions had been dramatically reduced, which turned it from a filling meal to more of a quick snack.......of course, the price was the same as it used to be, and the portions were literally half the size!
I won't write what I think about that as this is a family friendly site, but we used to have several meals there every year, but when we go back next week we'll try and find something better.

Go to Kansas City. There is no such thing as good ribs (or BBQ) outside of KC.

Yes, I am extremely biased toward KC BBQ. And I will NEVER apologize for it!!!! ;)

Someone else mentioned Oklahoma Joes. Excellent BBQ...except for their burnt ends. Terrible burnt ends.

I have always been very satisfied with the ribs at AKs Flame Tree Barbeque. Makes for a wonderful QS meal for both you and the dozens of birds pecking at your legs.
My son LOVES ribs, but has never gotten them at Disney, he was so afraid of being disappointed. Having said that, last trip, after a delicious breakfast at Boma (where we ate ourselves into a stupor) we went to AK, and he saw the ribs at Flametree BBQ, and said he could kick himself for not leaving room for ribs!!! (I mean, seriously, the man drank a carafe of frunch, plus 3 trips to the buffet) This is definate must do this year (yep... I plan on making an ADR for Boma, followed by an AK day!! LOL)

Good Morning Everyone. Now I love the ribs in America because unlike the British equivalent theres plenty of meat on them.Sure they can be messy to eat but when they taste so good, who gives a hoot.So where in WDW is your favourite ones? I love House of Blues baby back ribs,I ordered just half a rack after seeing one big dude ordering a full rack  So all you rib fans out there, where in Disney have you had your ribs tickled.?;)

Note to OP:
Nobody seems to hold a candle to the ribs of Kansas. Try as Disney may, there are just parts of the country that get it so much better than the Southern States. Side trip someday.
