Best resort to stay at and spend the day?

It has been a month since I got home and I am looking at some dates for returning next September. I plan on doing Night of Joy again since it was such a great experience and would love to spend one of those days just relaxing at the resort. I would like to stay one night at a moderate or deluxe and just hang out there during the day before Night of Joy at night.
What resort is the best to just hang out at? Best pool? Shops? Things to see? What do you think is the best overall?

Wilderness Lodge (great pool, restaurant(s), scenery, outdoor activities, and is just SO beautiful overall. It might be my favorite (if I had to choose) OR The Boardwalk (great pool, TONS of eating, walking and shopping), great scenery and theming as well.

I'm thinking Wilderness Lodge or Boardwalk...sounds to me like those have the most to do. It will be REALLY hard for me to just "relax" while at Disney because I wanna go,go,go!! and do,do,do! But if I'm going to pay that much, its gotta be somewhere I can just be at and be happy.

Maybe I need a short trip to scout it out! HA!
